Nets in debut
Watson came off the bench to make his debut Wednesday in the Carabao Cup and scored.
ANALYSIS
Watson came on for the final 25 minutes of Wednesday's clash and found the back of the net to seal the match. It was a solid showing from the young striker, who is still working on building his fitness. Most of Watson's minutes are likely going to be limited to cup competitions throughout the 2025/26 season, as he's firmly seen as one of the future.

Working up fitness
Watson is continuing to ramp up his fitness and is eyeing a return to play soon, according to manager Fabian Hurzeler, per Derren Howard of the Sussex Express. "Yeah, he's pushing, he's training. It's very important that he gets the whole training week without any modification, and then I'm sure that we will see him in the near future on the pitch. Maybe, maybe Oxford. Honestly, I don't know it yet. Maybe he's an option for Everton. Let's see the next few days."
