Pitcher
Carlos Rodon, CWS at LAD ($7,700): The Dodgers rank fourth against lefties with a .346 wOBA but also fan at a 22.4 percent clip, giving Rodon some upside. The smart cash game play is Yu Darvish, but Rodon makes for a nice GPP gamble, having averaged 42.3 points over his last four starts, and while there remains bust potential, there's reason to believe Rodon can match Darvish for much of the contest.
Catcher
Jonathan Lucroy, COL vs. ATL ($3,500): Lucroy's price seems inflated given his season-long body of work, but he owns a .414 wOBA and 138 wRC+ against righties since being traded from Texas. The prices in this contest are inflated, so much so that a usually bargain-tiered Dansby Swanson checks in at $3,100, helping put into perspective Lucroy's tag. Braves' starter Mike Foltynewicz has allowed 11 earned runs over his last 6.2 road innings.
First Base
Joey Votto, CIN at CHC ($4,700): It's a steep price to pay, but Votto has turned in single-digit points just three times in August, two of which ended with nine-plus points. Votto sports a .408 wOBA and 151 wRC+ on the road against opposite-handed pitchers, while the Cubs' John Lackey is surrendering a .413 wOBA and .997 OPS at home to lefties.
Second Base
Eduardo Nunez, BOS vs. STL ($3,500): The keystone is a challenge in this slate due to injuries and the limited number of games, so taking advantage of Nunez's changing position while Dustin Pedroia is out seems prudent. He's been downright amazing since joining the BoSox, to the tune of a .455 wOBA, 187 wRC+ and .250 ISO over 57 plate appearances.
Third Base
Kris Bryant, CHC vs. CIN ($4,400): Bryant entered Tuesday white-hot, riding an 11-game hitting streak that has seen him go deep in each of his last two while collecting multiple hits in four straight and six of his last seven. He sports a team-best .393 wOBA and 142 wRC+ against righties entering a matchup with a struggling Homer Bailey, who is allowing a .406 wOBA to same-handed hitters on the road, and has allowed 12 runs over his last 8.1 innings.
Shortstop
Didi Gregorius, NYY at NYM ($3,400): Hitting between Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez sets Gregorius up for success every game, especially at a position that doesn't boast many top-tier, healthy options. He has a .377 wOBA and 137 wRC+ against righties, while Mets' fill-in starter Robert Gsellman has a 5.13 home ERA while allowing opposite-handed hitters to post a .370 wOBA.
Outfield
Jay Bruce, CLE at MIN ($3,300): Bruce is 8-for-18 over his last five games and has a .515 wOBA and 231 wRC+ against righties since coming over from the Mets. Overall, he owns a .372 wOBA, 133 wRC+ and .267 ISO against opposite-handed pitchers and should fair well against Kyle Gibson, who has a 6.55 home ERA. At Target Field, he's allowed lefties to post a .424 wOBA and 1.009 OPS, and 21.2 percent of the fly balls he allows have left the yard.
Carlos Gomez, TEX vs. DET ($3,200): Gomez has missed two games due to illness, so be sure to check his status prior to Wednesday's first pitch. Teammates Joey Gallo, Adrian Beltre and Elvis Andrus offer better splits against righties, but Gomez has sound numbers and upside in a juicy matchup against Anibal Sanchez. His .350 wOBA, 115 wRC+ and .227 ISO play well here, as does the fact that Sanchez has a 6.87 road ERA, where he allows righties to produce a .462 wOBA and 1.132 OPS against him.
Byron Buxton, MIN vs. CLE ($2,800): Buxton is quietly putting together a nice August, having hit safely in all but three games this month and has driven in seven runs in his last five games. His .391 BABIP during that span isn't sustainable, but he's got upside in a challenging matchup with Indians ace Carlos Carrasco, who — even after an eight-inning shutout performance last time out — has allowed 10 runs over his last 15.1 innings.
