PITCHER
Chris Sale, BOS vs. NYY ($27,300): Sale has scored between 28.60 and 40.25 fantasy points in three starts against the Yankees while racking up double-digit strikeouts in each, as well as in six of his last eight starts overall. The Yankees have a .284 wOBA and 24.6 percent strikeout rate against lefties on the road in the second half of the season, while Sale has a 2.82 ERA while allowing a .239 wOBA in 70.1 home innings.
Martin Perez, TEX vs. CWS ($12,900): Perez draws a matchup against a White Sox squad that's struck out at a 26.9-percent rate and that's sported a .286 wOBA and 73 wRC+ versus left-handed pitching on the road in the last three weeks. Perez doesn't offer a ton of upside, but he scored 27.60 fantasy points just two starts ago against the Mets and 28.75 fantasy points in one other start this season, giving him some GPP viability.
INFIELD
Adrian Beltre, TEX vs. CWS ($10,400): Beltre at home against a lefty is often a recipe for success, as evidenced by his .537 wOBA, .269 ISO and 42.3 percent hard contact. Meanwhile, Derek Holland has allowed a .423 wOBA, including 14 homers, to right-handed hitters on the road, along with a 44.4 percent hard contact rate.
Anthony Rendon, WAS at SD ($9,600): Some of Rendon's best production has come when facing southpaws on the road, as evidenced by his .487 wOBA, .353 ISO and 32.1 percent hard contact rate. He draws an enticing matchup against Padres starter Travis Wood, who righty bats have touched up for a .369 wOBA and 5.05 xFIP at Petco Park. Additionally, San Diego relievers have allowed a .322 wOBA (including six homers) to right-handed hitters at home over the last three weeks.
Marcus Semien, OAK at HOU ($8,400): Semien's successful history versus Astros starter Collin McHugh includes a .444 batting average over 21 plate appearances. McHugh has also struggled lately, generating a 5.29 ERA while allowing a .380 wOBA over his last three starts. He also has a 25.0 percent HR/FB rate and 33.3 percent hard contact rate allowed, while the Astros' bullpen has allowed a .347 wOBA to right-handed hitters at home in the last three weeks.
OUTFIELD
Mike Trout, LAA at BAL ($10,200): Trout, who has six hits in 12 career plate appearances against Orioles starter Kevin Gausman, has a .418 wOBA, .283 ISO, 24.1 percent HR/FB rate and 40.3 percent hard contact rate versus righties on the road. Meanwhile, Gausman has been much improved in his last few starts, but he has still allowed a .351 wOBA and 34.0 percent hard contact rate to righty bats this year.
Josh Reddick, HOU vs. OAK ($8,100): Reddick has thrived against right-handed pitching at Minute Maid Park, where he has a .401 wOBA and .230 ISO. That dovetails nicely with one of A's starter Kendall Graveman's principal weaknesses, as he's allowed a .389 wOBA, 5.99 xFIP and 33.3 percent hard contact rate to lefty bats on the road. He's also struggled in the second half despite a strong performance in his last start, allowing a .380 wOBA and generating a 7.53 ERA in his last three starts.
Scott Schebler, CIN at ATL ($7,200): Braves starter Julio Teheran has allowed a .407 wOBA (including 11 homers), 2.91 HR/9, 6.03 xFIP and 39.8 percent hard contact rate to left-handed hitters at home. Schebler comes in having blasted 18 of his 23 homers off righties and posting a .357 wOBA and 45.8 percent hard contact rate against that handedness on the road. The Braves' bullpen has also struggled against left-handed hitters, as evidenced by the .339 wOBA and 35.3 percent hard contact rate they've allowed at home in the last three weeks.
UTILITY
Joey Votto, CIN at ATL ($10,400): Braves starter Julio Teheran's struggles – as well as those of the Braves bullpen – against left-handed hitters at home were just detailed, while Votto has a .404 wOBA, .223 ISO and 37.1 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitching on the road. He's also hitting the ball harder this month than at any point in the season, posting a 44.0 percent hard contact rate in 83 plate appearances.
Ender Inciarte, ATL vs. CIN ($8,000): Inciarte is in a good spot versus Reds starter Robert Stephenson, who's allowed a .436 wOBA, 3.52 HR/9, 8.32 xFIP and 39.3 percent hard contact rate to lefty hitters on the road. Inciarte checks in with a .368 wOBA versus right-handed pitching at home this year, and a .370 wOBA over 67 plate appearances this month.
