MLB Betting: Saturday Best Bets

Juan Blanco is confident the Rays will punish Orioles pitching in his best bets for Saturday.
MLB Betting: Saturday Best Bets

Previous: 4-0, +3.60 RW Bucks
Season: 65-63-5, -2.44 RW Bucks

I'll look to keep a hot streak going Saturday with some wagers on afternoon and evening AL showdowns that I see going in opposite directions offensively.

Red Sox at Indians, 4:05 p.m. EDT

Starting Pitchers: Nathan Eovaldi vs. Cal Quantrill

The Pick: Under 4.5 runs first 5 innings (+100 on DraftKings Sportsbook) for 1 RWBuck

Secondary Pick: Indians +128 (FanDuel Sportsbook) for 1 RWBuck

Both starters have been in fine form lately, with Eovaldi bouncing back from a couple ugly stumbles to post a 1.42 ERA and 0.84 WHIP in his last three starts, and Quantrill furnishing 2.12 and 1.04 figures in those respective categories in 59.1 innings since July 4. Each squad averages less than three runs per first five innings in the home/road splits that apply Saturday and current Cleveland bats have a collective .203/.207/.263 line against Eovaldi, putting me in the direction of the under early in the game before Cleveland potentially gets to an increasingly suspect Red Sox bullpen.

Rays at Orioles, 7:05 p.m. EDT

Starting Pitchers: Michael Wacha vs. John Means

The Pick: Rays Over 5.5 runs (-104 on FanDuel Sportsbook) for 1 RWBuck

Secondary Pick: Moneyline + Total Runs Parlay — Rays + Over 9.5 runs (+180 on FanDuel Sportsbook) for 1 RWBuck

Wacha has pitched to a 9.95 ERA and 2.26 WHIP in his last four starts, while Means is 0-2 with a 6.20 ERA against the Rays this season, giving up six homers in 20.1 innings. Current Rays bats own a collective .274 average and .823 OPS against him, while Orioles hitters have blasted Wacha for .337 and 1.056 figures in those respective categories. Factor in Baltimore's bullpen owns an MLB-high 7.41 ERA and has allowed an AL-high .357 wOBA in August and you have the makings of an offensive showcase in which the Rays should prevail.
