Top DFS Pitching and Team Stacking Strategies for DraftKings

In this article, I'm going to take a deeper dive into pitching and team stacking options. Let's take a look at our optimizer's rankings of the pitchers for the DraftKings eight-game main slate, sorted by projected fantasy points.

*No postponements expected

It's a pretty light pitching day on this medium-sized slate as we only have two starters in the $9k range and nobody $10k or higher. Robbie Ray is our highest projected and a logical choice, but with the game being in Coors Field, I slightly prefer George Kirby. He's allowed two runs or less in six of his last seven starts, and he faces a mostly uninspiring Rays lineup.

Form there, we've highlighted Zebby Matthews, Ryan Bergert and Yoendrys Gomez in our optimizer. Matthews gets an $1,100 discount compared to his FanDuel salary, but his inconsistency makes him a GPP option only. Meanwhile, Bergert faces the strikeout heavy Angels and has gone for at least 16 DK points in four consecutive starts. Note that Caden Dana will make his first MLB start of the year but has struggled mightily in his limited time in the big leagues.

Here's how each pitcher ranks in key categories (less than 10 IP marked as N/A):
