Weekly Pitcher Rankings: Top Pitchers This Week

As July offense increased less than previous seasons, go ahead and take more risks on pitching.
Weekly Pitcher Rankings: Top Pitchers This Week

Home runs and scoring usually increase in July, largely due to the increase in gametime temperature. While there was a small bump this season, it wasn't to the extent of recent years. The reduced distance for fly balls continues to slightly thwart scoring, so it's OK to now be more aggressive than normal with starting pitchers.
