San Antonio Spurs vs. Minnesota Timberwolves: De'Aaron Fox over 35.5 points + rebounds + assists
Fox has taken over as the Spurs' go-to scoring option due to the absence of Victor Wembanyama (calf) and Stephon Castle (hip). While some role players have stepped up lately, Fox remains the leader of this team as long as Wembanyama is out. Fox has been very productive since making his season debut on Nov. 8. Through 10 games, the star floor general is averaging 24.0 points, 6.0 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game. He had a double-double of 15 points and 12 assists in the win over the Nuggets on Friday. He's recorded at least 34 P+R+A in three of his last four games, and he's cleared this line of at least 36 points + rebounds + assists four times over his last seven games. He could have a favorable matchup against the Timberwolves, and the Spurs will need him to be heavily involved to pull the upset against a Minnesota team led by star guard Anthony Edwards.
Memphis Grizzlies vs. Sacramento Kings: Grizzlies to cover -2.5 spread, -110 @ FanDuel
The Grizzlies and Kings are two of the most disappointing teams in the Western Conference. Both teams will be missing key contributors as well. The Kings will be without Domantas Sabonis (knee) and are listing Dennis Schroder (hip) as questionable. Meanwhile, the Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant (calf), Brandon Clarke (knee), Scotty Pippen (toe) and Ty Jerome (calf). Despite the overall struggles and an 8-12 record, the Grizzlies are showing signs of a turnaround, having won four of their last five games, including two in a row after beating the Clippers and Pelicans on Wednesday and Friday, respectively. Considering that the Grizzlies have covered the -2.5 spread in each of those four wins, they might be in a good position to do so again when facing a Kings team that has looked out of sorts lately, with eight losses in their last 10, including two in a row.
New Orleans Pelicans vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Luka Doncic over 3.5 three-pointers, -116 @ DraftKings
Doncic's percentages from beyond the arc aren't impressive by any means, but his volume makes this a strong line to back. Over his last 10 games, Doncic has made 36.2 percent of his threes, although he's attempting 10.5 per contest and making 3.8. He went 4-for-9 in the win over the Mavericks on Friday and an impressive 7-for-12 against the Clippers on Tuesday. Doncic has also made three or more three-pointers in five of the six games during the Lakers' ongoing winning streak. Considering that the Pelicans started Jeremiah Fears and Bryce McGowens in the backcourt in Saturday's 104-96 loss to the Warriors, and with Trey Murphy (elbow) and Jordan Poole (quadriceps) both questionable, it seems this could be another matchup where Doncic could feast.
