Sorare NBA Market Update
You know an NBA season has gotten serious when a front-office decision maker and a head coach have been fired. Nico Harrison and Willie Green have signified that we're into the 2025-26 NBA campaign in a major way. That means you should be serious about considering the comings and goings of your Sorare NBA lineup as well. To that end, here is an upgrade, a hold, and a downgrade for you.
All Sorare NBA player values as of November 17 at 4:45 p.m. ET.
Upgrade
Alex Sarr, WAS ($19.66): Sure, you probably aren't paying a ton of attention to the Wizards. Maybe you have a recollection that Sarr was the second-overall pick last year in that draft class that was largely shrugged at. His sophomore season has been a step forward for Sarr, though. He's a starting center, and his numbers are up across the board. His 18.3 points and 2.2 rebounds per game stand out, but I am quite encouraged that he has gone from a 39.4 field-goal percentage to a 51.9. Also, from a 67.9 free-throw percentage to a 73.7. Sarr may not help the Wizards deliver many wins, but he has already delivered two games with over 50.0 Sorare points.
Hold
Lauri Markkanen, UTA ($31.28): Do you think that Markkanen thinks it's cool being the best Finnish basketball player ever? He's already dropped the first regular-season 50-point game by a Jazz player since Karl Malone, and in his last game, he got to 47 points (though it was a double-overtime outing). Both of those games yielded over 70.0 Sorare points. Markkanen has averaged over 30.0 points per game early on, and the reason why he's a hold is because I wonder how long he wears a Jazz jersey. In Utah, he's the best player. If, as many expect, Markkanen is finally dealt, it will be to a playoff team and probably a title contender. Will he be the second option? The third option? Enjoy his time with the Jazz while it lasts, and then assess the situation when (if?) he's dealt.
Downgrade
Reed Sheppard, HOU ($18.77): The potential for Sheppard to contribute to both the Rockets and Sorare lineups increased when Fred VanVleet unfortunately went down for the year. Indeed, Sheppard has put up some points off the bench as of late and consistently gotten over 30.0 Sorare points. He's getting to take threes, which is good, but I have one big concern for Sheppard having any chance to have the ball in his hand and not just be a catch-and-shoot guy off the bench. He's attempted nine free throws all season, making six of them. That's not workable, unless your goal is to be the second coming of Luke Kennard.
