Nuggets Host Mavs on Tuesday
The Denver Nuggets play host to the Dallas Mavericks at Ball Arena on Tuesday.

The Mavericks (12-11) pulled off one of their best wins of the season on Monday. They played host to a dominant Phoenix Suns team and handed them a beatdown. They actually held a double-digit lead for the final three quarters of that game, but it's no surprise after they slaughtered the Suns in Game 7 of the Western Conference Semis last year. That gives the Mavs three wins in their last four games, and the resurgence of Tim Hardaway Jr is a major reason why. The sharpshooter is averaging 23.3 points in that four-game stretch, and getting that from him could turn this solid team into a true contender going forward.

The Nuggets (14-9) have always been one of the most dangerous teams in their home building, and that's the case again behind their 6-2 home mark. That also means they haven't played many games at home, which indicates more home games are right around the corner. That's bad news for the rest of the NBA because this looks like one of the most dangerous teams in the league. The two-time reigning MVP is doing his usual thing, but Jamal Murray has been much better over recent weeks. It was a struggle for Murray in his first month back from ACL surgery, but he's looked like the stud we've become accustomed to over recent weeks. That has Denver entering this matchup winning four of their last six in total.

These teams have played two games in Dallas this year, splitting those two matchups. With that said, the Mavs have won three of their last four matchups in this series.
