Suns Defeat Pistons, 108-102
The Phoenix Suns defeated the visiting Detroit Pistons, 108-102, at Footprint Center on Friday.

It took 11 ties and eight lead changes to determine a winner in this game, with neither team ever grabbing a double-digit lead. The Suns largest lead was nine points, thanks to a 31-25 third quarter. That allowed them to maintain the lead for the closing 18 minutes. Phoenix recorded 25 assists to 12 turnovers, while Detroit had just 21 assists to 17 turnovers. The Suns also shot 48 percent from the field while holding the Pistons to 42 percent shooting. Phoenix outscored Detroit in the paint, 64-50, as well.

The Pistons (5-16) were led by Bojan Bogdanovic, totaling 19 points, four rebounds and three assists. Killian Hayes collected 17 points, eight rebounds, nine assists and two steals. Marvin Bagley generated 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Alec Burks led the bench with 17 points. They only had one player shoot above 50 percent from the field.

The Suns (12-6) were led by Deandre Ayton, accruing 28 points, 12 rebounds and two blocks on 11-of-13 from the field. Devin Booker tallied 21 points, seven rebounds and five assists. Cameron Payne provided 16 points, two rebounds and 10 assists, while Mikal Bridges finished with 15 points, two rebounds and two assists.

Phoenix has to play the second half of a back-to-back set on Saturday, playing host to the Utah Jazz. As for Detroit, they return to action on Sunday in a home matchup with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
