Games (EDT)

  • 8:45 a.m: forZe (F) vs. Heroic (HERO)
  • 11:05 a.m: Complexity (coL) vs. Gambit Youngsters (GY)

forZe vs. Heroic

The first match of the day in Home Sweet Home Cup 6 is a match between the Danes of Heroic and the Russian side of forZe looking to cause an upset in the semi-final. Heroic come into the match as the heavy favorites, and with a 4-0 run through the tournament without dropping a single match, it's hard to argue against the Danish side. forZe, on the other hand, topped a group featuring Complexity, SKADE and Apeks before edging past sAw 2-1. If forZe want to pull off the upset they will look towards two players: xsepower and FL1T, with both showing the potential to compete against the best in the world. Heroic's side is much more multi-faceted, with threats from TeSeS, niko and stavn all able to take over a match and carry Heroic over the line. cadiaN could also play a huge role in the match, especially if it ends up on Nuke, where the Danes have a 90 percent win rate over the last three months. forZe will try and take the match to Inferno, their most played map, and a map they boast a 65 precent win rate on, while Heroic are accomplished on Inferno, few can match forZe. With the third map likely to be Train or Dust 2, Heroic will feel confident in the series and look to secure their grand final appearance.

Prediction: forZe 0-2 Heroic

  • F Players to Target: xsepower ($12,000 Captain, $8,000 Flex), FL1T ($9,600 Captain, $6,400 Flex)
  • HERO Players to Target: stavn ($12,900 Captain, $8,600 Flex), TeSeS ($8,100 Captain, $5,400 Flex)

Complexity vs. Gambit Youngsters

The second semi-final is a match between the international side of Complexity and the Russian prospects of Gambit Youngsters, with Complexity looking to secure another grand final appearance in yet another Home Sweet Home Cup. Complexity come into the match with a world of momentum, as they have shown excellent form across the board, even at the highest level. Most notably, k0nfig and blameF have both been in excellent form as Complexity have surged up the world rankings. If Gambit Youngsters want to upset them, they will look towards young star sh1ro, who has been far and away their top performer, posting a 1.29 rating in the last three months. A problem for Gambit Youngsters will come in the map veto though, as they look to steer the map towards Mirage and Vertigo, two of Complexity's best maps, and two where Complexity have challenged the very best in the world. The value should come from the depth that Complexity offer, whether it's oBo, k0nfig or blameF, and they should simply offer too much firepower for Gambit Youngsters to handle.

Prediction: Complexity 2-0 Gambit Youngsters

  • coL Players to Target: blameF ($12,300 Captain, $8,200 Flex), oBo ($11,100 Captain, $7,400 Flex)
  • GY Players to Target: sh1ro ($13,500 Captain, $9,000 Flex)
