San Francisco 49ers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Betting Odds, Picks, and Predictions for Week 6
I have to admit, I'm pretty bummed to not be covering OUR Chicago Bears this week, for many reasons. But, like a good soldier, I take orders well and adapt to my surroundings. Given the opportunity, I snagged what should be a fun contest in Tampa between two very talented, but very banged up teams. Let's have a little fun while OUR Bears visit the nation's capital Monday.

49ers at Buccaneers Betting Odds
- Spread: 49ers +3.5 (-112 DraftKings), Buccaneers -3 (-120 Bet365)
- Moneyline: 49ers +155 (ESPN Bet), Buccaneers -179 (Caesars)
- Total: Over 46.5 (-120 ESPN Bet), Under 47.5 (-115 FanDuel)
The money and bet percentage is relatively even with both slightly favoring the Niners. The line has stayed quite steady at the 3, 3.5 mark. The total opened at 45.5 and immediately jumped to 47.5 where it has stayed throughout the week. To me, the lack of any serious movement shows me that neither the public nor wise guys have a good feel for how this game is going to go.

49ers at Buccaneers Betting Picks
Both of these teams deserve a hat tip for the success they have had despite numerous impactful injuries. Niners QB Brock Purdy has been ruled out of this game, so Mac Jones will get another start as he continues his redemption tour. On the other side, RB Bucky Irving, WR Mike Evans, and WR Chris Godwin are all expected to miss this game for Tampa, but that has yet to bother QB Baker Mayfield. He and the Bucs just continue to find a way to win, and I believe they do it once again this week.
However, that isn't where I find the best value. My pick for this game is on the Over. Despite the injuries on both sides, both teams have managed to put up points. And, both Bucs home games have gone over this total with 56 points put up against the Jets and Eagles. Two of the Niners' three road games have gone Over this total as well. I'm looking for more fireworks in this game.
