This week, we have four unanimous picks, the Giants, Seahawks, Jets and Dolphins, and I made the Jets (I'll deny this if you quote me on it) my best bet.

This week we have four unanimous picks, the Giants, Seahawks, Jets and Dolphins. Last week, we lost with the Lions, bringing our record to 6-6 on unanimous picks . We also went 5-9 on majority picks (three or more writers) to go 48-58 on the year. We were 26-21-1 on unanimous picks and 132-115-9 on majority picks in 2018.

Meanwhile, I'm consistently 2-3 points heavier on the Saints than the line is, and such is the case this week... Second best bet is Seattle. I had a lot of lines where I was right on the number, which is terrible -- you want easy decisions. That was the case with Rams-Bengals, Niners-Panthers and Pats-Browns. |
| Pianowski | I really hated this slate. Of course that's not predictive. I also think it's actually an uninteresting batch of games, on paper. But it's the NFL, I'm sure a bunch of funky things will happen. And then some clown will say what a weird week it was, which is every NFL week. |
| Liss | I like the Seahawks in Atlanta, but don't want to steal a best bet in case Matt Ryan doesn't play and that line spikes. So I went with a buy-low on the Jets which I'm sure I'll regret. I also like the Packers to handle the Chiefs easily with Matt Moore under center, though it looks like Pat Mahomes has an outside chance to play, in which case, all bets are off. |
| Payne | I was totally wrong about the Bengals; they're terrible. So I picked them again. Some correction will come with these Patriots' spreads. Happened in 2007, will happen this year. |
| Del Don | It feels like SF is routinely undervalued (throw out last week's game in rough weather conditions), but the best bet is to fade me. |
