2023 Fantasy Outlook
Clark was traded to the Jets in the offseason after spending six years in Baltimore, including a 100-tackle season in 2022. The versatile safety can also line up at nickel corner and even linebacker, but he'll miss all of 2023 after suffering a ACL tear during spring practices. Clark is scheduled to become a free agent in March 2024. Read Past Outlooks

Moves to injured reserve
SNew York Jets
Knee - ACL
July 19, 2023
The Jets placed Clark (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark suffered an ACL tear during the Jets' offseason program, so his move to IR was simply transactional. The 2017 sixth-round pick was acquired from Baltimore for a seventh-round pick earlier in the offseason and was expected to start for the Jets in 2023 after recording a career-high 101 tackles in 2022. However, the 28-year-old's season-ending injury prompted the Jets to sign former Packers and Bears safety Adrian Amos, who is now the leading candidate to start at safety alongside Jordan Whitehead.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2021
2020
Clark really broke out for the Ravens last year, his second as starter. His snap count jumped from 757 in 2019 to 1,063 last season, and it resulted in career-high numbers. He also flashed some playmaking ability, scoring a touchdown while forcing and recovering two fumbles. He should push for triple-digit tackles in a 17-game schedule this season, and there's no obvious candidate to threaten his playing time, so Clark should be Baltimore's lead safety again in 2021. But he's probably capped as a DB2 type in IDP leagues unless he boosts his interception production.
Clark was mostly a special teams player going into 2019, but over the course of the year he forced his way into defensive snaps and only seemed to pick up steam with time. Although he played 228 special teams snaps last year (not good), he encouragingly only played 74 in the season's second half, and just 16 in the final three games (including playoffs). Clark posted 44 tackles, one sack, one interception and two forced fumbles in those eight games (488 defensive snaps). Clark has a shot at something more like 950-1,000 snaps in 2020, so there's a decent chance he pushes for DB1 utility as he graduates from special teams.
