Logs eight tackles in win
Clark recorded eight tackles (six solo) in the Steelers' win over the Jets on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
One of Clark's tackles went for a loss, as he wrapped up Justin Fields behind the line of scrimmage on a third-and-three designed run in the fourth quarter to force a punt. Clark played just 50 percent of the defensive snaps but figures to have an every-down role in Week 2 after DeShon Elliott suffered a knee injury against New York. Elliott has already been ruled out for Pittsburgh's upcoming date with the Seahawks.

Clark's season-ending injury was the first of many for the Jets in 2023, as he tore his ACL last June after being acquired from the Ravens in March. The veteran safety has been participating in team activities leading up to the 2024 season, and Clark is the favorite to land the starting strong safety role over Ashtyn Davis. Clark averaged 87.5 tackles and 7.3 passes defensed across his last four seasons in Baltimore.

Torn ACL confirmed
Further testing has confirmed Clark suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Jets OTAs earlier this month, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Clark had been acquired via trade from the Ravens in March and had missed only one game in his first six seasons. The veteran safety had been impressing coaches since his arrival with his work ethic and instant chemistry with fellow starter Jordan Whitehead, but he'll now cede his spot to free-agent signee Adrian Amos, who the Jets quickly pounced on once fears of a potential season-ending injury for Clark arose.
