Vele was selected by the Broncos in the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and he joins a receiving corps looking to take a step forward with some new faces in town. The wideout had success at Utah, taking advantage of his 6-4, 203-pound frame and 4.47 speed. If Vele can acclimate to the NFL quickly, he could carve out a role in Denver based on his size and athletic ability. He'll face competition to secure a spot on the team in a depth role, so Vele will need to earn a spot on the roster without requiring a huge amount of development as a 26-year old rookie. Vele finished 12 receiving yards shy of Courtland Sutton's team-high total, though neither of them caught any of Bo Nix's four touchdown passes. This was the second-highest receiving yardage total of Vele's career, but the rookie has fallen short of 40 yards in five of seven career NFL appearances. Vele will turn 27 on Dec. 12, which likely contributed to his slide to the seventh round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but he has proven NFL-ready while carving out a meaningful role heading into a Week 12 road game in Vegas.
