Rest-of-Season Projections
2024 Fantasy Outlook
In a season mired by injuries and plenty of losses, Tuipulotu was one of the team's few bright spots as the 2023 second-round pick turned into a disruptive force off the edge tallying 4.5 sacks and a number of tackles for a loss. With both Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa healthy, plus the addition of veteran rotational pass rusher Bud Dupree, Tuipulotu likely won't find a spot in the starting lineup immediately, but given the injury history of the aforementioned trio, the second-year pass rusher could once again find himself in a prominent role. Solid building block next season
Tuipulotu compiled 53 tackles (37 solo), 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass defensed in 17 games with the Chargers during the 2023 season.
ANALYSIS
While the numbers might not reflect it, the 2023 second-round pick was easily one of the team's shining lights amid a difficult 5-12 season. Tuipulotu initially started the season as a rotational piece on the edge and quietly tallied four sacks in his first nine games, despite playing no more than 76 percent of the team's defensive snaps in all but two of those contests. The rookie settled into a full-time role after Joey Bosa (foot) was lost for the season beginning in Week 12, but Tuipulotu tallied just a one half-sack the rest of the way. However, he remained a reliable disruptor in the backfield despite the modest sack production and projects as a significant defensive piece for new head coach Jim Harbaugh entering the 2024 season.

2023 Fantasy Outlook
A second-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, it's unclear where the talented linebacker might fit into the rotation as he's a bit undersized to be a run stopper (266 pounds), but not fast enough to be a speed rusher (4.97 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine). Expect Tuipulotu to mix into the team's pass-rushing rotation behind Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack.
