The Reshuffle List: This Season's Winners, Losers

This article is part of our The Reshuffle List series.

The PGA Tour regular season has ended. The FedEx Cup Playoffs begin this week at The Barclays in New Jersey, with the Web.com Tour Finals starting next week. For some, job security means an open run at $10 million. For others, a four-tournament fight to keep the jobs they so desperately coveted. And for the rest, it's off to the unknown.

Tour Card Winners

The following Reshuffle List players finished within the Top 125 on the FedEx Cup points list or money list, securing their PGA Tour Card for the 2014-15 season. It took 438 points to finish in the Top 125.

Will MacKenzie - 919.900 points
Russell Knox - 885.066
Ben Martin - 788.833
Ryo Ishikawa - 680.850
Billy Hurley III - 630.209
Andrew Svoboda - 646.970
Troy Merritt - 499.000
Danny Lee - 489.500
Tim Wilkinson - 493.575
Kevin Kisner - 587.083
Brice Garnett - 487.780
Ricky Barnes - 517.538

Good work by Garnett, getting 57 FedEx Cup points over his last two events - the Barracuda Championship and the Wyndham Championship where he finished T34-T32 - to secure his card. And by how many points did he get it in by? 50.

Web.com Finals Qualifiers

The following players finished 126-200 on the FedEx Cup points list and qualify for the Web.com Tour Finals for a chance to win a tour card for next season.

Heath Slocum - 419.320 points
Andrew Loupe - 380.000
Will Wilcox - 361.582
Bud Cauley - 357.230
Tyrone Van Aswegen - 355.490
Trevor Immelman - 353.723
Hudson Swafford - 351.250
Jim Renner - 345.797
Brad Fritsch - 321.869
Wes Roach - 313.750
Chad Collins - 294.830
Sean O'Hair - 277.920
Troy Matteson - 237.970
Joe Durant - 221.170
Jamie Lovemark - 211.813
Kevin Tway - 172.000
Peter Malnati - 171.500
Jim Herman - 142.050
Bronson La'Cassie - 128.460
Scott Gardiner - 124.853
Miguel Angel Carballo - 115.660

Slocum could have gotten his PGA Tour card if he had won the Wyndham Championship last week, but struggled down the stretch, bogeying 17 and 18 to eventually finish fourth. It's now off to the Web.com Tour Finals to make amends for a rough finish in Greensboro.

Into the Great Unknown

Finally, these players have an unknown future.

Kevin Foley - 78.290 points
Lee Williams - 73.750
Alex Prugh - 72.400
Matt Bettencourt - 56.500
Mark Anderson - 54.848
Will Claxton - 52.340
Patrick Cantlay - 47.970
Edward Loar - 22.700
Kris Blanks - 19.000
Benjamin Alvarado - 15.000
Daniel Chopra - 8.630
Alex Aragon - 1.830
Bobby Gates - 0.790

By default, anyone in this category gets exempt into the second stage of Web.com Tour qualifying school. But some, like Foley, who won on the Web.com Tour in the last several years, may still have full Web.com Tour status, which can be a huge lifesaver.

Speaking of Foley, it was a rough end to his PGA Tour season. Foley missed a 4-foot putt on the 72nd hole last Sunday for par. He thought that would be enough to stay inside the top 200 on the FedEx Cup points list, but the one guy who could overtake him and drop his position on the leaderboard, Doug LaBelle II, played his last four holes in 2-under, knocking Foley down a notch and ending his season in 201st, ONE point behind 200th. As GolfDigest.com's Shane Ryan put it: "LaBelle birdied 15. He birdied 16. He made par on 17. He tapped in for par on 18. We idiots who expected something sympathetic from this sport stood around with our mouths agape. And Foley is off to ... well, who knows? He's off to wherever you go when you're number 201."

Just brutal.

Will They Ever See a Tournament Update

This is an update of the golfers profiled in our initial 2013-14 Reshuffle List column, and how the new system and its flaws - specifically with placement on the Reshuffle List following the Web.com Tour Finals - might have decided some of their fates before the season even started (ranks are where they started this season).
