GOALIE
Frederik Andersen, TOR vs. VAN ($8,200): Vancouver hits the Air Canada Centre with an active 2-9-1 record while averaging just 2.31 goals per 60 minutes. It checks out as a soft matchup for Andersen and the Maple Leafs, and the Danish netminder has won nine of his past 14 contests with a .926 save percentage. Both Vegas and the RotoWire NHL lineup optimizing are bullish about Andersen, too.
CENTER
Steven Stamkos, TB at OTT ($7,900): Ottawa had an impressive 6-5 overtime win in comeback fashion against San Jose on Friday, so a date with the league's highest scoring team a day later doesn't bode well for the sinking Sens. After all, they've surrendered 3.52 goals per 60 minutes through their past 26 contests. Stamkos enters with an elite 3.9 points per 60 minutes for the campaign, including five goals, two assists and 28 shots through his latest eight contests.
Derek Stepan, ARI vs. NYR ($4,500): The veteran has quietly recorded 18 points and 64 shots while averaging a hefty 19:18 of ice time (2:44 on the power play) per contest through his past 24 outings. With the Rangers allowing the third most high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes this season, Stepan offers nice value against his former club.
WING
Brad Marchand, BOS vs. CAR ($7,300): Since returning from injury, Marchand has recorded eight tallies, 11 helpers and seven multi-point showings through 16 games. While the Hurricanes do a lot of things right and are far from a soft matchup, that should only serve to keep Marchand's ownership percentage in check. Carolina's target-worthy .899 team save percentage shouldn't be ignored, either.
J.T. Miller, NYR at ARI ($4,300): Projected to skate on the top line and No. 1 power-play unit, Miller is an obvious value candidate. He's currently keeping up with last season's scoring pace despite spending most of the year in a middle-six role. Additionally, with Arizona allowing the second most goals (3.44) and seventh most high-danger scoring chances (11.87) per 60 minutes in the league, it's also a soft matchup.
Elias Lindholm, CAR at BOS ($3,900): The 23-year-old Swede offers cap relief without sacrificing upside, especially given his current form. Lindholm's skating with the No. 1 power-play unit and has collected a respectable three goals and four assists through his past 10 contests. It's also worth adding that there are limited targets from his price range in the player pool.
DEFENSE
Morgan Rielly, TOR vs. VAN ($5,100): Cruising to a career-best offensive showing, Rielly has recorded seven assists, 20 shots and seven blocked shots through his past six contests. Additionally, the Canucks are struggling defensively of late with a league-high 4.54 goals per 60 minutes allowed through their past 12 outings.
Kevin Shattenkirk, NYR at ARI ($4,900): As noted, the Coyotes are a favorable matchup for the Rangers, and Shattenkirk has positive regression ahead. He's recorded just six assists through his past 22 contests. The American begins 63.7 percent of his five-on-five shifts in the offensive zone and averages 3:21 of power-play time per game, so he's in position to succeed, and this salary is manageable.
