I hope you remembered to turn your clock back and get an extra hour of sleep. I hope the four NHL teams in action Sunday that also played Saturday remembered as well. There are three games on the first Sunday of November. Here are my recommendations for your daily fantasy lineup.
GOALIE
Henrik Lundqvist, NYR vs. BUF ($7,700): Lundqvist is having a solid season, posting a .917 save percentage. The Sabres did score nine goals on Saturday, but before that they had only averaged 2.54 goals per game. New York is better defensively than Ottawa, is getting a Sabres team on the second night of a back-to-back and is hosting them at Madison Square Garden.
CENTER
Matt Duchene, OTT vs. TAM ($6,100): Duchene has been a rare bright spot for the Senators, with 12 points in 13 games. This comes after he notched 49 points in 68 games after being traded from Colorado to Ottawa last season. The Lightning will be on the road for the second night of a back-to-back, and Louis Domingue will likely be in net. He only has three starts this year, but he's only managed a .887 save percentage during that time.
Kevin Hayes, NYR vs. BUF ($4,800): Hayes scored 25 goals in 76 games last year, including six on the power play. That seems to have earned him a bigger role this season, where he's averaged 18:47 in ice time – including 2:07 on the power play. The Sabres are on the road for the second night of a back-to-back and Linus Ullmark, who has only started nine NHL games in his career, may be getting the start.
WING
Jeff Skinner, BUF at NYR ($6,600): Skinner was part of Buffalo's big day Saturday, scoring two goals and adding an assist. He now is up 16 points on the season, including five on the power play. The Rangers have allowed 34.5 shots on goal per game while owning the 23rd-ranked penalty kill, so there's reason to like Skinner in this matchup even though he won't have much time to rest.
Yanni Gourde, TAM at OTT ($5,400): With a goal Saturday, Gourde has tallied 13 points in 13 games. More importantly, you remember when I said the Senators allowed nine goals on Saturday, right? Ottawa now sports the league's highest GAA and though it's early, it is looking like the worst defensive team in the NHL.
J.T. Miller, TAM at OTT ($4,600): Why wouldn't you want more than one Lightning, given this matchup? The Senators come in with a 3.83 GAA and had given up 38.5 shots on goal per game BEFORE Saturday's disastrous loss to the Sabres. Miller has totaled 11 points, which is good. But he's also skating on a line with Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov, and that bodes well for his potential.
DEFENSE
Thomas Chabot, OTT vs. TAM ($4,500): Chabot is doing his best to try and replace Erik Karlsson. He has 16 points and 30 shots on net, and he's averaged more than three minutes per game on the power play. Though the Lightning own the league's top-ranked penalty kill, they are on the road for the second game of a back-to-back, and Louis Domingue enters with a career 3.02 GAA and .906 save percentage.
Hampus Lindholm, ANA vs. CLM ($4,500): Lindholm's scoring has slowed down, but he still has managed eight points in 14 games. Just last season, he racked up 13 goals and 31 points in 69 games. The Blue Jackets are another team on the road for the second game of a back-to-back. As such, Joonas Korpisalo will likely be in net and sports a 3.98 GAA and .881 save percentage.
