GOALIE
Brian Elliott, PHI vs. NJD ($7,900): Elliott got off to an awful start to the season, but recently he seems to have found his footing. Over his last five games he has a 1.32 GAA and .954 save percentage. The Devils have been middle of the pack on offense, but they've been awful on the road. So far, they have a 1-7-0 record away from New Jersey.
CENTER
Sean Monahan, CGY vs. MON ($7,600): Monahan has played in semi-obscurity in Calgary, but fantasy hockey heads know that he provided a powerful offensive punch. That's certainly been true to start this season, as he has 19 points in 18 games. The return of Carey Price to health has not done anything to stabilize Montreal's situation in net. The Habs have a 3.39 GAA and .888 save percentage as a team.
Dylan Larkin, DET at OTT ($6,100): The Red Wings, somewhat inexplicably, have gotten hot recently, and Larkin has been a big part of that. Over his last eight games he's notched 11 points. If you want to stay hot offensively, there's no better matchup than the Senators. Ottawa has a league-high 4.22 GAA.
WING
Mark Stone, OTT vs. DET ($6,500): The Senators don't have a lot of talent, but Stone is doing his best to keep their offense afloat. He's tallied 20 points in 18 contests, including eight on the power play. The 26-year-old has scored at least 20 goals in his last four seasons, so we know that he can light the lamp. Detroit has played better recently, but it still has a 3.33 GAA and has allowed 35.2 shots on goal per contest.
Zach Parise, MIN vs. VAN ($6,500): Parise still has some life left in his legs, and he's fortunately healthy to start this season. He's tallied seven goals and nine assists through 18 games, and he's averaged 2:54 per game on the power play. With Anders Nilsson injured, the Canucks have basically no choice but to go with Jacob Markstrom in net, who has a 3.28 GAA and .896 save percentage.
Travis Konecny, PHI vs. NJD ($4,800): Konecny is off to a bit of a slow start, but don't fret. His minutes (and power-play time) are up, and his 7.5 shooting percentage is bound to improve. Perhaps this is the game where he will break out, as the Devils have a 3.50 GAA, third highest in the NHL.
DEFENSE
Ryan Pulock, NYI vs. NYR ($4,000): Pulock has five points, which is decent but he's averaged 23:19 in ice time (2:13 on the power play) and put 35 shots on net in 17 contests. That level of activity could, and perhaps should, pay off in time. The Rangers have a 3.06 GAA, middle of the pack, but they've given up 34.3 shots on goal per game, fourth highest in the NHL.
Dennis Cholowski, DET at OTT ($3,700): As previously mentioned, the Senators have a woeful 4.22 GAA. They've also given up 38.7 shots on goal per game and have the league's worst penalty kill. So you, know it's a pretty enticing matchup. Cholowski isn't a big name, but the rookie has nine points in 16 games, including six on the power play.
