SLATE PREVIEW
There are five games on the NHL slate Friday. New Jersey hosts Vegas, Buffalo travels to Winnipeg, San Jose is in Dallas, Utah visits Vancouver and Anaheim is home to Washington. Below, you'll find suggested options for crafting an effective lineup.
GOALIES
Jake Oettinger, DAL vs. SJ ($8,400): Oettinger is riding a four-game winning streak where he's only given up eight goals on 121 shots. He also came out on top in both meetings versus the Sharks last season.
Jacob Markstrom, NJ vs. VGK ($7,600): While Markstrom is picking up Ws, he comes into Friday with a 3.55 GAA and .875 save percentage. The Golden Knights were dominant last season for both scoring and allowing goals, but they're currently mediocre in both categories.
VALUE PLAYS
JJ Peterka, UTA at VAN ($4,200): Peterka had a huge performance on Wednesday as he scored twice and added two assists against Anaheim. The former Sabre has also recorded 21 points overall.
Brock Boeser, VAN vs. UTA ($4,200): Boeser is on pace to pot 29 goals, which would tie for his second-best career mark. He also participates on the Canucks' top power play, where he's so far supplied five points.
FORWARD LINE STACKS
Stars vs. Sharks
Jason Robertson (W - $9,000), Roope Hintz (C - $6,000), Jamie Benn (W - $3,300)
Robertson has 14 goals and 13 assists in his last 17 games to give him 36 points overall. Hintz has registered 15 points from his last 15 while Benn is at eight through nine after missing most of the season with a collapsed lung. They'll be playing a Sharks side on Friday that's given up 22 goals across five appearances.
Sabres at Jets
Josh Norris (C - $5,300), Tage Thompson (W - $7,700), Zach Benson (W - $4,100)
The Sabres welcomed Norris back to action on Monday after he was out for the first 24 games, and he's responded with two goals and two assists. Thompson has posted 22 points while Benson is at 11 assists while yet to find the back of the net. This trio won't cost you a lot and could do well against a Jets team without Connor Hellebuyck.
DEFENSEMEN
Shea Theodore, VGK at NJ ($4,900): Theodore struggled early on, but has turned it around with nine points from his last nine outings and comes in at a very reasonable DFS salary.
Quinn Hughes, VAN vs. UTAH ($6,700): Hughes is averaging a point-per-game with two goals and 20 assists. He's been scoreless during the last three, so he's due due for another big offensive effort.
