Wednesday's slate is somewhat light with five games scheduled. The action will start at 7:00 p.m. ET with Toronto hosting Utah. The night will also feature St. Louis in Washington, starting at 7:30, Columbus at Calgary (9:30), Chicago at Vancouver (10:00) and San Jose at Seattle (10:00).
SLATE PREVIEW
Vancouver and Toronto are the biggest favorites of the night, according to FanDuel's Moneyline. Toronto is at minus-172 while Vancouver is at minus-178 against Utah (plus-142) and Chicago (plus-146), respectively. In addition, Utah-Toronto, Columbus-Calgary and San Jose-Seattle are each at 6.5 goals, and the other two games have a 5.5-goal Over/Under.
GOALIES
Logan Thompson, WAS vs. STL ($7,900): Thompson has a 5-3-0 record, 1.51 GAA and .935 save percentage in eight appearances in 2025-26. Although he doesn't always get the win, he's at least given Washington a chance in every start so far. He's allowed two or fewer goals in each of his outings this year.
Jet Greaves, CLM at CAL ($7,500): Greaves looked great in limited action last year, posting a 7-2-2 record, 1.91 GAA and .938 save percentage in 11 appearances with Columbus. The 24-year-old is looking solid in what figures to be his first full NHL campaign. He has a 3-3-0 record, 2.67 GAA and .916 save percentage in six appearances. Calgary is a favorable matchup -- the Flames are 3-9-2 and rank last in goals per game with 2.14.
VALUE PLAYS
Andre Burakovsky, CHI at VAN ($5,000): Burakovsky will enter Wednesday's action on a four-game scoring streak. He has three goals and six points over that stretch. The 30-year-old isn't a reliable forward offensively, but during stretches like this, he's worth taking a chance on.
Sean Monahan, CLM at CAL ($4,700): Monahan was held off the scoresheet over his opening five games of the season, but since then, he's supplied a goal and six points across seven appearances. Monahan might surpass the 60-point milestone this year as long as he stays healthy and remains on the top line and first power-play unit.
Nicholas Robertson, TOR vs. UTA ($4,500): Robertson has always had offensive potential, but the 24-year-old has struggled to produce with any regularity in the NHL. Perhaps he's starting to click, though. Robertson has three goals and six points across his past five outings. It helps that he's averaged 15:10 of ice time over that span, compared to his career average of 11:33.
FORWARD LINE STACK
Maple Leafs vs. Mammoth
Auston Matthews (C - $7,800), William Nylander (W - $7,900), Matthew Knies (W - $6,700)
Matthews has collected just one power-play point (a goal) through 13 appearances this year, but he's still off to a strong start. He's up to seven goals and 11 points, including two goals and three points over his past three outings. As great as Matthews is, though, he's arguably not the main highlight of this line.
Nylander is off to a phenomenal start. Although he's missed some time due to injury, he's still supplied five goals and 18 points in 10 appearances this season. Meanwhile, Knies is on a five-game scoring streak in which he's collected two goals and eight points. That gives him four goals and 16 points in 13 appearances in 2025-26.
DEFENSEMEN
Mikhail Sergachev, UTA at TOR ($6,200): Sergachev was held off the scoresheet for his opening six games this year, but an offensive defenseman of his caliber was always bound to rebound. That's happened with Sergachev recording two goals and 10 points across his past seven appearances. The 27-year-old can be somewhat streaky, but he's also likely to hit the 50-point mark in 2025-26 for the third time in the past four regular seasons.
Morgan Rielly, TOR vs. UTA ($6,000): Rielly has three assists in his past two games, bringing him up to two goals and nine points in 12 appearances this year. Interestingly, he's still looking for his first power-play point of the campaign. It shouldn't be too much longer before he sees results with the man advantage, but in the meantime, he's at least productive at even strength.
Dmitry Orlov, SJS at SEA ($5,600): Orlov isn't known as a high-end offensive defenseman, but he has been a steady contributor in his first campaign with San Jose, supplying 10 assists through 13 appearances. It helps that he's received a healthy 2:39 of ice time with the man advantage this season. Going into this season, his career high for average power-play ice time was 1:29 in 2022-23. Orlov has taken advantage of his increased responsibilities by recording four helpers with the man advantage this year.
