FORWARDS
Willian, CHE v. HUD ($9,100): Chelsea are huge favorites on a slate devoid of other big teams, and Willian comes in as their primary set-piece taker. Huddersfield actually don't concede a ton of crosses or shots, but they are the worst team in the Premier League and Chelsea are firmly expected to have lots of possession. Any consideration for Willian also requires a look at Eden Hazard ($9.900), who is actually Chelsea's best player but his floor takes a hit when Willian starts. There is certainly a path where you could roster both because they're the two top players on a team that's overwhelmingly better than all others on the slate, but Chelsea just aren't a team that churns out a ton of production. Hazard and Willian can obviously both have strong games, but it's worth noting they've both scored at least 10.00 fantasy points in the same game just three times this season. If you're looking for more upside from the biggest favorite on the slate, Gonzalo Higuain is only $7,000 and has the highest anytime goal scorer odds of anyone on the slate. Unfortunately, his floor is literally zero.
Gylfi Sigurdsson, EVE v. WOL ($8,900): With Lucas Digne suspended and Leighton Baines likely out injured, Sigurdsson has a very clear path to a monopoly of set pieces. The matchup against Wolves isn't the easiest one on the slate, but Everton's struggles recently have mostly been while playing away. If you're overly pessimistic about Everton, Crystal Palace's Andros Townsend ($9,000) has scored at least 10.0 fantasy points in 13 of his last 17 starts and now faces a Southampton side that's conceded the fifth-most shots and crosses among teams on the slate. He has a pretty minimal role on set pieces, but he could be crossing more if Palace decide to roll with Christian Benteke ($5,300) up front in place of the suspended Wilfried Zaha. Palace have been infamously horrible when Zaha isn't in the starting XI, but Townsend has still been able to have decent games without him.
David Junior Hoilett, CAR v. BOU ($6,400): Hoilett comes in having scored at least 7.00 fantasy points in five consecutive starts, and while Cardiff continue to be one of the worst teams in the Premier League, they should still be trying for three points at home to Bournemouth. Their first matchup this season was in the opening weekend, a 2-0 win for the Cherries that Hoilett still managed to score 7.00 fantasy points in. His well-rounded production from shots, crosses, tackles won and fouls drawn doesn't make him dependent on set pieces, and while it seems like a slate that's built to pay up at both forward spots, Hoilett makes sense if you're looking to spend up elsewhere. If he's even a little too high, Fulham's Ryan Babel ($5,600) could be an option for cash games, as he's coming off a very fruitful outing against Brighton that saw him finish with one assist on four chances created, three shots (including one on target) and five crosses, production that shouldn't be that difficult to replicate away to Crystal Palace.
MIDFIELDERS
James Ward-Prowse, SOU at BUR ($8,400): While Ward-Prowse had one of his weaker floor games Wednesday against Crystal Palace, finishing with 6.75, he made up for it by scoring a goal for the third consecutive game. Despite three in a row, it's really tough to rely on those from him, but his role on set pieces theoretically gives him a great opportunity against Burnley, who have conceded the most shots, most shots on goal, third-most crosses and most corners. That being said, he doesn't necessarily have a monopoly, and paying up this much for Southampton set pieces while they're away might be tough to swallow for some. If that's the case, Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser ($8,000) is likely to have closer to a monopoly and is facing a Cardiff side that's conceded the fourth-most shots and second-most corners.
Joao Moutinho, WOL at EVE ($5,700): Moutinho's attacking upside has been on full display lately, as he had two assists in each of his past two games, racking up 10 crosses, four fouls drawn, five tackles won and three interceptions in that span. The matchup against Everton seems tough at first given that they don't concede many shots or crosses, but they've been vulnerable enough of late to grab a set-piece taker against them at less than $6,000.
Jean Michael Seri, FUL at CRY ($4,500): Seri's run of poor performances seems to be over, as he's sent in at least seven crosses in three consecutive matches, and he was particularly active in the attack Tuesday against Brighton, taking two shots and creating three chances. Fulham seem to be turning it around, and while they are underdogs away to Crystal Palace, they'll face a side that allowed seven goals in the last three games. Seri doesn't have to do much to make value at his price, and he could be a popular pair with Moutinho for those who are paying up at both forwards spots.
DEFENDERS
Jose Holebas, WAT at BHA ($6,000): As long as he starts, Holebas is likely to take all of Watford's set pieces against a Brighton side that's allowed the second-most shots and second-most chances among teams on the slate. It's usually tough to get good value out of Holebas without set pieces, as more than half of his floor points come from dead balls, but those opportunities could be there against Brighton, who he had two assists on five chances created and 11 crosses when they met earlier this season.
Yan Valery, SOU at CRY ($4,500): Valery's combination of attacking prowess from the wing and defensive work has helped him score at least 5.00 floor points in three straight matches, including 7.25 in each of his last two. He's racked up eight crosses and 10 tackles won in this stretch, a run that saw him play 45, 90 and 62 minutes, respectively. Up next is a Crystal Palace side that's allowed fourth-most crosses while having the most tackles won against them this season.
Calum Chambers, FUL at CRY ($4,300): Chambers scored a goal in Tuesday's match against Brighton, though there's little reason to ever roster him for that reason (sure, it can happen but it's always unlikely). However, his role as a midfielder has allowed him to move up in the attack, helping him take multiple shots in three consecutive games. He still does his defensive work, and he should be active on both ends against Palace, who have conceded seven goals in their last three Premier League games.
GOALKEEPER
Kepa Arrizabalaga, CHE v. HUD ($5,900): Kepa has been pretty poor lately, allowing seven goals while making seven saves in his last three starts. However, he comes in with by far the highest win and clean sheet odds, facing a Huddersfield side that's been shut out in four of their last five games, including each of their last three. If you're hesitant to pay up for Willian or Hazard, why not grab a player who has the best odds for 10 points?
