FORWARDS
Sergio Aguero, MCI v. WAT (£25): Similar to James Maddison (discussed below), Aguero was an automatic addition to my team. He's got the best goal-scoring odds on the slate and Manchester City are heavy favorites playing at home. Aguero is likely to be one of the highest-owned players, which could make fading him lucrative if he has a dud, though I'd rather go with the safe play and gamble elsewhere. Raheem Sterling (£24) and Leroy Sane (£22) are both cheaper and may be worth stacking when considering Liverpool's lack of attacking form right now.
Sadio Mane, LIV v. BUR (£24): I'm an unapologetic Mohamed Salah (£25) fanboy but he's been struggling lately, as he's scored just once in his past seven starts. He continues to put shots on net, but at his price, we need him to score goals. Mane, on the other hand, has six goals in his past eight matches and will play at Anfield, where Liverpool have scored at least three goals in six of their past seven . Romelu Lukaku (£24) is also in fine form, scoring six goals in his past three matches, but he will face a tough trip to Arsenal.
MIDFIELDERS
James Maddison, LEI v. FUL (£19): My first selection for Saturday's slate was the Leicester playmaker. He is somehow cheaper than nine other midfielders, which is a steal when you take into account his set-piece monopoly and opponent. Maddison contributes with accurate crosses, shots and fouls won, giving him a floor of around six points. Youri Tielemans (£20) is another intriguing option from the Foxes, as he's provided assists in consecutive matches.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (£18): Both Hojbjerg and James Ward-Prowse (£18) have been consistent for Southampton for much of the season. Hojbjerg has the safer floor due to his defensive work, while Ward-Prowse has the higher ceiling as he's become a key goal scorer for the Saints. Ward-Prowse has scored in five of his past eight matches, which has produced outings with 12 or more points in each instance. With both players priced the same, the decision is whether you prefer a safer floor with Hojbjerg or the potential for a more lucrative outing with Ward-Prowse.
Robert Snodgrass, WHU at CAR (£15): The West Ham midfield is full of value on this slate, and one that I'll be targeting in a matchup with Cardiff. Snodgrass continues to take the majority of set-pieces even when Felipe Anderson (£20) is on the pitch, which should continue. He's scored at least 7.4 points in his last three starts against Crystal Palace, Fulham and Newcastle. Manuel Lanzini (£16) played 90 minutes for the first time since injuring his knee last spring, playing well enough to finish with 6.6 points. He's expected to get the nod once again, but he doesn't have quite the floor that Snodgrass does with set pieces. If you really want to go cheap, Declan Rice (£13) has recorded at least five points in five of his past nine starts, while Calum Chambers (£16) finally made the transition from defender to midfielder this week and has been the most consistent fantasy asset for Fulham this season.
DEFENDERS
Trent Alexander-Arnold, LIV v. BUR (£16): The Liverpool back line has kept five straight clean sheets and is in another great position to continue that when they host Burnley on Sunday. They have the highest clean sheet odds by a considerable margin and will benefit from playing in the friendly confines of Anfield, where they're unbeaten in their past 35 matches. Andrew Robertson (£17) is more expensive but hasn't produced to the level Alexander-Arnold has over the past three matches. Virgil van Dijk (£16) is as steady as it comes for a defender with a floor of around five points, and with Liverpool expected to enjoy most of the possession, the Dutch defender has a good shot at 100-plus passes. Finally, Joel Matip (£14) is the cheapest of the Liverpool starting defenders and has hit at least 6.35 points during their five-match run of clean sheets.
Serge Aurier, TOT at SOU (£15): Kieran Trippier will miss his second straight match, which will likely keep Aurier in the starting XI at right-back. In his previous three starts, Aurier has scored at least 7.25 fantasy points, with the clean sheet bonus playing a part in two. Tottenham have the fifth-best clean sheet odds (out of 18), though they'll be traveling to the south coast, making it tough to depend on those extra points. Aside from Jan Vertonghen (£16), all of Tottenham's expected starting defenders are £15, and there isn't necessarily a separating factor other than Aurier shining in his previous three starts.
Chris Mepham, BOU at HUD (£11): Mepham has started three straight matches for Bournemouth at center-back due to Steve Cook's groin injury. He hasn't been particularly impressive from a fantasy perspective, but those matches came against Wolverhampton, Arsenal and Manchester City. Huddersfield's attack is extremely anemic and Mepham will keep his place in the side with Cook potentially missing the rest of the season. This is hardly a sexy pick, but one that will provide savings that will enable you to spend up at forward in a nearly full slate.
GOALKEEPER
Artur Boruc, BOU at HUD (£10): Despite Boruc starting the past seven matches, he continues to be minimum priced, which is a steal considering Bournemouth's opponent. Unless something catastrophic happens Saturday, Boruc should be in line for a draw, at the very least. Elsewhere, Kasper Schmeichel (£14) and Leicester are heavy favorites as they host Fulham and have the fourth-best clean sheet odds. Fulham are a better attacking side than Huddersfield, giving Schmeichel potential for more save opportunities than Boruc. Finally, I can't skip over Alisson Becker (£17) because he's kept five straight clean sheets and will have another opportunity to keep a shutout when the Reds host the Clarets.
