MATCHES (EDT)

12:55 p.m: Ajax v. AEK Athens
12:55 p.m: Shakhtar Donetsk v. Hoffenheim
3:00 p.m: Manchester City v. Lyon
3:00 p.m: Real Madrid v. Roma
3:00 p.m: Young Boys v. Manchester United
3:00 p.m: Viktoria Plzen v. CSKA Moscow
3:00 p.m: Benfica v. Bayern Munich
3:00 p.m: Valencia v. Juventus

FORWARDS

Cristiano Ronaldo, JUV at VAL (€28): Ronaldo finally opened his Juventus account Sunday to the tune of two goals on nine shots. It's clear that he's still finding his footing with his new club, but we simply can't overlook his Champions League resume as the all-time leading goalscorer in the competition. It doesn't hurt his case that he's up against familiar opposition, having breached Valencia 15 times in 16 appearances.

Gabriel Jesus, MCI v. OL (€24):Sergio Aguero's status is in doubt, which could put the goal-scoring onus on the shoulders of Jesus. The Brazilian has seen limited minutes this season, but he gave us a glimpse of what he can do when given a full workload when he fired off six shots (five on frame) and scored a goal in his only 90-minute stint of the season exactly one month ago. With Manchester City being the biggest favorite on the slate, we'll want as much exposure to their attacking weapons, planting Jesus firmly on the fantasy radar as the go-to guy up top.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, AJA v. AEK

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, AJA v. AEK (€19): Huntelaar enters the 2018/19 UCL campaign on fire, having bagged a brace in three consecutive Eredivisie games. Ajax are heavily favored at home against AEK Athens, and considering the oddsmakers have Huntelaar even with the likes of Ronaldo and Karim Benzema (€24) in terms of anytime goal scorer odds, why not ride the hot hand and save some cash in the process?

MIDFIELDERS

Riyad Mahrez, MCI v. OL (€22): Mahrez is off to a slow start with his new club after Manchester City opened up the checkbook to bring him in on a club-record fee over the summer. A UCL opener against a weaker Lyon side could be just what the doctor ordered to kick Mahrez into gear, and with Aguero possibly missing out, City could look to Mahrez to produce the goods Wednesday.

Paul Pogba, MUN at BSCY (€21): Pogba started the season with a goal in back-to-back games, and he's topped 13 fantasy points in three of five Premier League matches. In a game that could feature goals, Pogba looks to be in line for another double-digit point haul regardless of whether he has a hand in a goal or not.

Hakim Ziyech, AJA v. AEK (€17): Ziyech is the primary set-piece taker for Ajax, and he has at least a goal or an assist in five of his last six outings. With the Dutch giants heavily favored at home against AEK, we can expect there to be plenty of opportunities for him to make an impact on the scoresheet again.

DEFENDERS

Joshua Kimmich, FCB at BEF (€17): Kimmich is one of the best two-way defenders in the world, regularly making his impact felt in the attack while also doing his part to earn defensive points. There are multiple defenders in the same price range that have slightly better clean-sheet odds but not nearly as much attacking upside as Kimmich, making the decision an easy one in tournaments.

Kyle Walker, MCI v. OL (€17): With Benjamin Mendy likely out through injury, Walker is the next-best attacking back out of the Manchester City camp. He doesn't get involved nearly as much as Mendy, but he reminded us that he too can make a mark on the scoresheet with a laser strike against Newcastle to win the game and top 17 points. On top of that, City have good clean-sheet odds, so Walker is a relatively safe defensive play who holds some attacking upside.

Daley Blind, AJA v. AEK (€14): Ajax have flexed their defensive muscles to start the season, holding their opposition to just one goal over their last seven games, including both Dutch Eredivisie and Champions League qualification matches. Blind has certainly played his part at centerback, and with Ajax checking in as the one of the biggest favorites on the slate, their defensive options offer up good value at the back.

GOALKEEPER

Andre Onana, AJA v. AEK (€13): Onana has reeled off four straight shutouts and has kept a clean sheet in six of his last seven appearances, conceding just once in 630 minutes over that span. Ajax have the best clean-sheet odds of any team on the slate, and Onana comes at a hefty discount compared to some of the big name 'keepers in the player pool.
