PITCHER
Kenta Maeda, LAD vs. SD ($9,100): Maeda faces a Padres team that's posted a meager .289 wOBA and struck out 23.9 percent of the time versus right-handed pitching this year. He's also tallied over 20 fantasy points in four of his last eight starts, and 18.9 and 19.8 fantasy points over two others. While he struggled against the Orioles in his last start, the conditions appear right for a bounce back Sunday.
Junior Guerra, MIL vs. STL ($9,400): Guerra has been solid throughout the season but even better over his last three starts, scoring 28.2 to 33.6 fantasy points. He has also posted a 4-1 record and 2.48 ERA over his 40 home innings, while allowing only a .206 batting average. Guerra turned in a quality start on May 30 against the Cardinals, and he could be primed for an even better performance Sunday considering his recent efforts.
CATCHER
Curt Casali, TAM at BOS ($2,400): We'll squeeze in some value with Casali so as to spend up elsewhere on the slate, and he actually brings some upside despite his very modest price. Although he has an unsightly .166 batting average, Casali has popped six homers, and 13 of his 27 hits on the season have gone for extra bases. He's also decimated Red Sox starter David Price over his career, slashing .545/.545/1.455 over 11 at-bats with a double, three homers and five RBI. Casali has a solid 33.3 percent hard contact rate against southpaws, while Price has given up 12 of his 14 homers on the season to right-handed hitters, with eight of those coming at Fenway Park.
FIRST BASE
Mike Napoli, CLE vs. NYY ($3,600) Napoli has a .334 wOBA, .243 ISO and 36.7 percent hard contact rate against right-handed pitchers, while opposing starter Masahiro Tanaka has given up six of his nine homers on the season to right-handed hitters. Napoli should step in the batter's box with plenty of confidence against Tanaka as well, considering he's hit .625 (5-for-8) against him with three doubles, two homers, two RBI and three walks.
SECOND BASE
Ian Kinsler, DET at TOR ($4,600): Kinsler has scored double-digit fantasy points five times in the last 10 games, with two homers and five RBI over that span. He also has a .348 wOBA against righties, and an even better .357 figure against them on the road. He's blasted 12 of his 16 homers on the season against righties, with nine of those round-trippers coming away from Comerica Park. To top it off, he's also built a successful track record against Blue Jays starter R.A. Dickey, who he's slashed .381/.458/.810 against over 21 at-bats, with three homers and six RBI.
THIRD BASE
Kyle Seager, SEA at KC ($4,900): Any time Chris Young takes the mound, it's a good idea to have a lefty or two in your lineup against him. When that lefty is the caliber of Kyle Seager, it's a "set it and forget it" situation. Young has been an absolute abomination against left-handed bats, surrendering a .533 wOBA and 16 of his 26 homers on the season to them, along with a 56.1 percent hard contact rate. Considering this level of ineptitude, Seager is not someone that Young likely wants to see. The Mariners slugger has posted a .428 wOBA, .299 ISO and 42.9 percent hard contact rate against righties, and he has six games with double-digit fantasy points in his last 10.
SHORTSTOP
Elvis Andrus, TEX vs. MIN ($4,200): Andrus has a long and favorable history against Twins starter Tommy Milone, who he's battered to the tune of a .370/.393/.556 line over 27 at-bats with a pair of doubles, a homer and three RBI. He hasn't been any kinder to southpaws overall this season, tallying a .407 wOBA against them. Meanwhile, Milone has surrendered a .368 wOBA to righties, along with a 34.7 percent hard contact rate.
OUTFIELD
Andrew McCutchen, PIT vs. CHC ($3,400): McCutchen can be had for a nice discount these days, despite the fact that he's been picking it up at the plate. The veteran slugger went 2-for-5 and hit his 13th homer Saturday, making it his third game with double-digit fantasy points over the last four. Cubs starter John Lackey is no picnic to go against, but he has surrendered nine of his 12 homers on the season to right-handed hitters, along with a 39.4 percent hard contact rate to the 117 righty hitters he's faced away from Wrigley Field. McCutchen now has a .321 wOBA against right-handed pitchers and a 37.5 percent hard contact rate against them at PNC Park.
Adam Jones, BAL vs. LAA ($4,500): Angels starter Tim Lincecum has surrendered a . 539 wOBA to the 38 righty hitters he's faced this season, along with a 7.20 xFIP. Meanwhile, Jones has a .342 wOBA against right-handed pitchers, and a .366 wOBA and .248 ISO when facing them at Camden Yards. He also has 15 of his 17 homers on the season against righty arms, with eight of those coming at home.
Kevin Pillar, TOR vs. DET ($3,800): When Tigers starter Anibal Sanchez is on the hill, it's usually a good bet that a few balls will leave the yard. When he takes the mound at Rogers Centre, those odds go up. Pillar offers some cost-effective exposure to the long ball-prone right-hander, and he has hit that handedness well at home this season, tallying .343 wOBA there, while Sanchez has surrendered a .428 wOBA to righty bats on the road, along with a 30.7 percent hard contact rate.
