PITCHER
Vince Velasquez , PHI at ATL ($9,000): Pittsburgh beat around Velasquez in his latest outing (four runs in six innings), but the strikeout artist posted a 2.20 ERA with 31 punchouts over 28.2 innings through his previous six outings. He has a 27.2 strikeout percentage for the season, and Atlanta has the league-worst wOBA (.288) and wRC+ (78).
CATCHER
Evan Gattis, HOU at DET ($2,900): With four bombs over his past four games and a .346 wOBA and 117 wRC+ against lefties this season, Gattis has upside in the heart of a rolling Houston lineup. Matt Boyd checks out as a plus-matchup, too, as he's allowed a .361 wOBA and 1.95 HR/9 to right-handed batters during his short career.
FIRST BASE
Joey Votto, CIN at SD ($3,900): Don't fret Edwin Jackson's two-game resurgence, as he's allowed a .365 wOBA to lefties since 2014. Votto, meanwhile, has a .401 wOBA and 154 wRC+ against right-handed pitchers during the same timeframe.
SECOND BASE
Cesar Hernandez, PHI at ATL ($2,800): Leading off of late, Hernandez has gone 10-for-24 (.417 batting average) over his past six games with three runs, five RBI and three stolen bases. The streaky hitter has a .366 wOBA over the past 30 days, and Tyrell Jenkins is making just his fourth career start and has allowed 10 runs through 14 innings over his first three bids.
THIRD BASE
Justin Turner, LAD vs. ARI ($3,600): This is a matchup where the reverse splits work for both. Turner has a .389 wOBA and 152 wRC+ against righties since 2014, and Godley has served up a .364 wOBA to right-handed hitters during his career. Plus, dating back to mid-June, Turner has returned 13 home runs, 38 RBI and a .683 slugging percentage over 165 plate appearances.
SHORTSTOP
Aledmys Diaz, STL at MIA ($2,900): The rookie has teed off on right-handed pitchers this season with a .393 wOBA and 149 wRC+, and he hasn't slowed down with .384 and 143 marks over the past 30 days. Facing flamethrower Jose Urena isn't a threat, as the 24-year-old righty has allowed a 31.4 hard-hit percentage to righty bats during his career.
OUTFIELD
George Springer, HOU vs. DET ($3,700): The salary isn't prohibitive enough to fade lefty-mashing Springer, who has a .405 wOBA and 158 wRC+ against southpaws over the past two seasons. He is a lineup building block against previously highlighted Matt Boyd.
Matt Kemp, SD vs. CIN ($3,200): The veteran has owned left-handed pitchers this season with a .352 ISO, .407 wOBA and 162 wRC+, and Kemp is in good form with .289, .347 and 121 marks, respectively, over the past 30 days. Brandon Finnegan has allowed 1.87 HR/9 and a 36.5 hard-hit percentage to right-handed hitters during his career, too.
Joey Gallo, TEX vs. KC ($2,000): At minimum price, there's huge upside for Gallo, who has started two of three games since being recalled. Facing Edinson Volquez isn't a high-end matchup, as the veteran righty has held left-handed hitters to a .307 wOBA over the past thee seasons. Still, Gallo has a career .253 ISO and .342 wOBA against righties. Hitters with his power upside just aren't found in his current price range.
