FanDuel MLB: Wednesday's Picks

FanDuel MLB: Wednesday's Picks

This article is part of our FanDuel MLB series.

Wednesday's action sees 10 games for the main slate. Let's take a look at where there can be some advantages to be taken.

Pitching

German Marquez, COL at SF ($8,200): Marquez has had at least 28 fantasy points in each of his last four starts as well as 40 and 43 in his last two. San Francisco still plays as a pitcher's park and the Giants' lineup has a paltry .293 wOBA against right-handed pitching. San Francisco's 27.9 percent strikeout rate against right-handed pitching is also the second worst in baseball.

Huascar Ynoa ATL vs CHC ($7,900): Ynoa is my favorite GPP play of the day given he's either going to throw a gem or get lit up. Let's hope it's the former and not the latter. Ynoa has scored 30, 37 and 49 in three of his starts but also has a nine-point dud to his name. The good news is he's had at least five strikeouts in every start, so there's plenty of upside with him.

Top Targets

Fernando Tatis, SD at ARI ($4,500): If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Tatis has been on fire and at this point he's quieted anyone worried about his shoulder. There are very few players who have the ability to score 37-plus fantasy points as a hitter, but Tatis has done that in three of his last four contests. He should be the first player put into any lineup tonight.

Bryce Harper, WAS at STL ($4,400): Harper has gotten off to a great start this season, batting .329 with six home runs and two stolen bases. The power/speed combo is something DFS players seek out and no one should be afraid of his matchup with Johan Oviedo. There are different ways for Harper to rack up points and if there's a combination of them (home runs plus stolen bases) he could put up a big number.

Value Bats

Justin Williams, STL vs PHI ($2,100): You can't go wrong for the salary here and Williams has a nice matchup against Vince Velasquez who could implode in any game. Williams should be hitting in the middle of the lineup and already has nine walks to go with two home runs. Here's a spot to go with a lesser salary to spend up at the other positions.

Ryan Zimmerman, WAS at TOR ($2,300): This salary seems a bit off given Zimmerman is hitting .293 with three home runs. He has those three home runs in his last seven games so it appears he's seeing the ball well. Steven Matz has been excellent this season but Zimmerman has a career .389 wOBA against southpaw pitching.

Stacks to Consider

Yankees vs Dean Kremer: Giancarlo Stanton ($3,400), Aaron Judge ($3,500), DJ LeMahieu ($2,800), Gio Urshela ($2,600)

The Yankees are ridiculously cheap and there's a strong case for stacking them even in cash games and not just tournaments. They put up three home runs Tuesday night and will look to continue that trend in Baltimore. Kremer isn't a big-time prospect and this could turn into a bullpen game for the Orioles.

Los Angeles Angels at Dane Dunning: Mike Trout ($4,600), Shohei Ohtani ($4,200), Anthony Rendon ($3,600), Jared Walsh ($3,100)

While the temperature hasn't risen as high in Arlington as it will later this summer, this seems like a good spot to stack the Angels. Dunning looked terrible last outing and only has pitched 51.2 innings between this season and last. Look for the Angels to take advantage of this matchup despite being on the road.
