Best MLB Bets Today

San Diego Padres vs. Chicago White Sox: Michael King over 5.5 strikeouts, +108 @ FanDuel

King is coming off a woeful performance the last time out, yielding eight runs on 10 hits while failing to pitch past the fourth inning in a loss to the Mets. Even though he's struggling to pitch deep into games, the 30-year-old right-hander should be able to bounce back in what figures to be a favorable matchup against one of the worst lineups in the majors.

Despite racking only 69 punchouts in 65.2 innings throughout the season, King should take advantage of the White Sox's aggressive approach and season-long offensive struggles to deliver a solid outing here. He only has five strikeouts in his last three outings and 10.0 innings combined, but he was outstanding before landing on the injured list earlier in the season. This is a great spot for him to record a bounce-back effort.

Houston Astros vs. Seattle Mariners: Christian Walker to record +1 hit, -145 @ FanDuel

Another bounce-back candidate, Walker is hitless with nine strikeouts in his last four games and received a much-needed day off Saturday. Expect the slugging first baseman to return to the lineup for the series finale, and the Astros need him to get things back on track before it's too late. Walker is slashing .200/.246/.323 with 13 hits and 27 strikeouts across 69 plate appearances since the beginning of September. The majority of the issues have been at home, where he's hitting .037 with 16 strikeouts in 30 plate appearances over that same span. No slump lasts forever, though, and Walker is simply too talented to continue struggling at this rate. He should be able to bounce back in this series finale and record at least one hit to get some confidence going ahead of the final days of the regular season.

Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays: Over 7.5 total runs, +113 @ BetRivers

The Red Sox's offense seems to be peaking at the right time with the playoffs right around the corner, and each of their last four games has yielded over 7.5 total runs -- with Boston going 3-1 over that stretch. That's been the case in the first two meetings of the series as well. Six of the previous 12 games between these two teams have hit that mark as well. As for the Rays, they've seen their contests recording seven or more runs six times over their last nine contests while facing playoff-caliber teams such as the Red Sox, the Blue Jays and the Cubs. Don't be surprised if this series finale also delivers plenty of scoring emotion.
