MLB Betting: Saturday Best Bets

Juan Blanco likes Lucas Giolito against the Tigers among his best bets for Saturday.
MLB Betting: Saturday Best Bets

Previous: 2-2, -0.86 RWBucks
Season: 87-92-7, -11.12 RW Bucks

On the final Saturday of the regular season, I'm honing in on one team with the division title on the line and another with a successful track record against the opposing starter.

Padres at Giants, 4:05 p.m. EDT

Starting Pitchers: Joe Musgrove vs. Kevin Gausman

The Pick: Giants -0.5 in first five innings (-112 on FanDuel Sportsbook) for 1 RWBuck

Secondary Picks: Giants -161 (BETMGM) for 2 RWBucks; Gausman over 5.5 strikeouts  (-120 on DraftKings Sportsbook) for 2 RWBucks

The host Giants clinch the NL West with a victory in this game, and Gausman, who, with a career-high 14 wins, has been as big a factor in San Fran's surprising success as anyone, is fittingly on the hill to try and make that happen. The veteran right-hander has held current Padres bats to a collective .221/.233/.360 slash line in 168 career at-bats, recording 45 strikeouts along the way. The Padres also check in with a .221 average, .271 wOBA and -15.3 wRAA against righties on the road in the last month.

Tigers at White Sox, 7:10 p.m. EDT

Starting Pitchers: Matt Manning vs. Lucas Giolito

The Pick:  White Sox to score first and win (-115 on DraftKings Sportsbook) for 2 RWBucks

Secondary Pick: White Sox over 2.5 runs in first five innings (-140 on DraftKings Sportsbook) for 1 RWBuck

The Tigers gave Giolito trouble in one of three meetings this season, but he pitched to a solid 4.15 ERA and impressive 1.00 WHIP and 12.5 K/9 across his other two turns. The right-hander also comes into Saturday's start sharp, having pitched to a 2.42 ERA over his last eight outings, while Manning has given up a collective .336/.436/.506 slash line to current White Sox bats, as Chicago has lit him up for a 9.00 ERA over 11 innings across three starts.
