This was expected to be a competitive World Series, and we're 1-1 as the scene shifts to Los Angeles. That's what we wanted as baseball fans (Dodgers and Jays diehards notwithstanding), and it'll be fun to see how these final games play out. Let's get started by talking about our favorite pitcher in this critical Game 3.

Pitching
Tyler Glasnow, LAD vs. TOR ($11,200)
We just can't trust Max Scherzer against the Dodgers despite his fiery ALCS heroics, and we'll discuss that more below, but we do like Glasnow. The Dodgers ace has been in top form this postseason, providing a 0.68 ERA and 2.24 FIP while striking out 18 batters across 13.1 innings. That's no surprise when looking at Glasnow's tremendous career, as he's compiled a 3.17 ERA and 1.01 WHIP since 2019. He's been even better at home, posting a 2.77 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 11.7 K/9 rate at Dodger Stadium this season. That's why the Dodgers are a -200 favorite with Glasnow on the mound, and he shouldn't have too many issues against Toronto's righty-heavy lineup.
Top Targets
Shohei Ohtani, LAD ($10,400)
If you want to avoid pitchers altogether, Ohtani is an easy option up top. The two-way superstar has been the highest-scoring player in DFS over the last three years, averaging 11.5 DraftKings points per game this season. His splits against right-handers are even more ridiculous, as he's registered a .419 OBP and 1.112 OPS against them since 2023. Facing a big name like Scherzer might scare some DFS managers away, but the 41-year-old had a 5.19 ERA and 1.29 WHIP during the regular season.
Vladimir Guerrero, TOR ($9,800)
Ohtani has been the best bat in baseball over recent years, but Vlad has been the best hitter in these playoffs. Over 13 games, Guerrero has tallied a .500 OBP, .843 SLG and 1.343 OPS. That's 60 at-bats of raking, and it's clear Vlad gets locked in when the lights are brightest. A matchup against Glasnow would be terrifying for most hitters, but Guerrero has a .533 OBP and 1.260 OPS in 11 at-bats against him.
Bargain Bats
Daulton Varsho, TOR ($7,600)
Varsho was one of the heroes for the Jays in Game 1, but he's been playing like that for most of the season. The center fielder scored 20 DK points in that masterpiece after amassing an .832 OPS during the regular season. His .548 SLG was one of the best in baseball, and he almost always goes off against right-handers. Varsho should hit in the heart of Toronto's order against a righty, and he compiled a .865 OPS with the platoon advantage this season.
Max Muncy, LAD ($7,400)
It was surprising to see Muncy so far down the salary list. This guy has been a stud since signing with the Dodgers in 2018, accruing a .358 OBP and .843 OPS since then. Most of that damage has happened with the platoon advantage, and he's accumulated a .409 OBP and .923 OPS against righties this season. He's also had success against Scherzer, sporting a .400 OBP and .838 OPS in 16 at-bats against the veteran righty.
We'd also consider Will Smith ($7,000) and Addison Barger ($6,400) given their postseason performance.
If you're feeling really sneaky, using Roki Sasaki ($4,000) could be a contrarian play as the Dodgers closer. LA is a -200 favorite, while Sasaki has a 1.13 ERA and 0.38 WHIP across eight innings as their closer. If he ends up getting a save, Sasaki could be the best value on the board while providing the salary cap relief to fit more studs into your build.
