Best NBA Bets Today
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Houston Rockets: Donovan Mitchell over 33.5 points + assists, -112 @ FanDuel
The Cavaliers have been one of the most disappointing teams in the Eastern Conference and haven't been able to repeat the impressive regular season they had in 2024-25. One of the few players who has remained steady has been Donovan Mitchell, and "Spida" is expected to carry the team offensively once again in a tough matchup against the Rockets on Saturday. Mitchell is coming off a 34-point, six-assist performance in the Christmas Day loss to the Knicks on Dec. 25, and he's been on a roll lately with 30 or more points in six of his last 10 games. Over that 10-game stretch, Mitchell is averaging a sizzling 32.1 points, 5.3 assists, 4.2 boards, 4.0 threes and 1.3 steals. When it comes to the P+A line, Mitchell has reached the line of 33.5 points + assists in four of his last six appearances.
Indiana Pacers vs. Miami Heat: Heat to cover -8.5 spread, -105 @ BetMGM
The Pacers had some travelling delays following their 140-122 loss to the Celtics on Friday, and another setback is the last thing this team needs. The Pacers are depleted on both ends of the court, looking tired and disorganized at times, and they'll be squaring up against a Heat team that's getting healthier and looking better of late. Miami is coming off a comfortable 126-111 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, and despite also playing on the second leg of a back-to-back set, they'll be fresher and far more rested. That should make a difference here.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves: Julius Randle over 22.5 points, -115 @ DraftKings
The Timberwolves have relied heavily on Anthony Edwards, who has been unstoppable of late, but the star guard is dealing with a shoulder injury and is considered questionable to play Sunday. If he sits out the game, which might not be out of the question given the Timberwolves went to overtime against the Nuggets on Christmas, Randle should step up as the team's go-to option on offense. That's not a role that's unknown for the star forward. Randle posted 32 points (12-22 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-7 FT), seven rebounds, six assists, one block and three steals over 39 minutes in the overtime loss to the Nuggets on Dec. 25, and he's scored 24 or more points in four of his last seven outings. Even though he's hit the 20-point mark regularly of late, doing so in eight of his previous 10 games, the potential absence of Edwards should translate to more touches and usage rate for Randle, bolstering the chance of increasing his scoring output even more.
