The 2025-26 NCAA Men's College Basketball season heads into mid-January. Can you believe it, but we're just five or six weeks away from conference tournaments getting underway?
After a light night on the college hardwood, it's a busy Saturday, like usual. Five ranked teams are in action at noon EST, and 24 of the 25 teams ranked in The Associated Press' Top 25 are in action, including three ranked vs. ranked battles, including No. 11 BYU and No. 15 Texas Tech meeting in Lubbock at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN.
We're here to help provide a trio of picks on select days throughout the week, hopefully helping you get into the black, as hurtle into 2026. It's never too early to start squirreling away money for March Madness.
College Basketball PrizePicks Picks & Strategy
If you're unfamiliar with how to play, you must simply choose at least two players from any sport and pick more or less based on their projected statistics to win. We'll obviously be exclusively selecting college hoops players, but you can mix and match from various other sports. You can also go with a flex play, meaning you still can have a winning night even if you have one losing selection. Or, you can go big and choose the power play, which pays out higher. However, you must hit all ends to win. Let's get started.

Solo Ball, G, UConn
Ball and the UConn Huskies tip it off at Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. against the Georgetown Hoyas in a Big East Conference battle at noon EST.
Ball should be able to get off to a hot start, as the Georgetown defense has been very giving, especially along the perimeter. The Hoyas are allowing 74.8 points (160th in the nation), 43.2 percent from the field (153rd) and 35.3 percent from behind the three-point line (292nd) per game. In fact, you could also consider Ball - More 1.5 Three-Pointers, with the 'goblin' on PrizePicks, if you're a little more on the conservative side. Those picks are easier to win, but come with lower payout multipliers.
Ball has struggled lately, so facing Georgetown should be the elixir to cure his scoring ills. He is averaging just 7.5 points per game (PPG) in the past two outings, misfiring on seven of his eight attempts from the perimeter. Ball should snap back on track against the Hoyas in a big way.
CBB PrizePicks Selection: Solo Ball, More 13.5 Points
Cameron Boozer, F, Duke
We'll keep it simple with Boozer, as Duke make the second stop of a Bay Area road trip. The Blue Devils picked up a 71-56 victory at Cal, with Boozer going for 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting, while adding 13 rebounds and three assists.
Boozer has been a picture of consistency, going for at least 17 points in 11 consecutive outings, while pulling down at least seven rebounds in three in a row, and seven of the past eight games. He also has three or more assists in four straight, and seven of the past eight, too.
Boozer and the Blue Devils will likely find very little resistance, especially in the paint. Stanford allows just 71.7 PPG, which isn't half-bad, but they're allowing opponents to hit 45.5 percent (281st), and 33.1 percent (177th) from behind three-point line. Stanford allowed 90 points to North Carolina in a victory Wednesday, and it has allowed at least 76 points in three of the past four home games, so look for Boozer and the Blue Devils to roll up big numbers.
CBB PrizePicks Selection: Cameron Boozer, More 31.5 Pts+Rebs

Honor Huff, G, West Virginia
In Big 12 action, the Mountaineers host the Colorado Buffaloes at WVU Coliseum in Morgantown, W. Va. at 6 p.m. EST on CBSSN.
We've picked on Colorado frequently this season, as the Buffaloes defense has been horrible. The Buffaloes are allowing 77.6 PPG (230th), while allowing teams to hit 44.8 percent (244th) from the field, and 35.8 percent (313th) from behind the three-point line. The Buffaloes have allowed at least 73 points in seven straight games, and 77+ points in four of the past six outings. CU likes to get out and run, and that's music to the ears of Huff, the leading scorer of the Mountaineers.
Huff leads WVU with 17.2 PPG, while hitting 40.3 percent from the field, and 40.0 percent from downtown. He does great work at the free-throw line, too, leading the team with an 82.1 percent mark from the charity stripe.
He has really picked up the pace with 23.5 PPG in the past two home games against Cincinnati and Kansas, while grabbing 7.5 RPG in those games. He had a 4-of-11 shooting night at Houston last time out on Tuesday, going for just 13 points, so he'll be hungry to bounce back, and he faces a very, very favorable matchup.
CBB PrizePicks Selection: Honor Huff, More 20.5 Pts+Rebs
