College Basketball Pick'em Today: PrizePicks Plays for Tuesday, December 9

The 2025-26 NCAA Men's College Basketball continues Tuesday, and it's a little bit of a light schedule. But, we have a couple of bangers, too, including Villanova and Michigan, as well as a Big Ten battle between Illinois and Ohio State, and an NCAA Tournament rematch between Florida and UConn.

We're here to help provide a trio of picks on select days throughout the week, hopefully helping you get into the black, as we head into the holidays and the new year. It's never too early to start squirreling away money for March Madness.

College Basketball PrizePicks Picks & Strategy

If you're unfamiliar with how to play, you must simply choose at least two players from any sport and pick more or less based on their projected statistics to win. We'll obviously be exclusively selecting college hoops players, but you can mix and match from various other sports. You can also go with a flex play, meaning you still can have a winning night even if you have one losing selection. Or, you can go big and choose the power play, which pays out higher. However, you must hit all ends to win. Let's get started.

Keaton Wagler, G, Illinois

The 6-foot-6 freshman from Shawnee, Kansas is handling his business early, although, of course, with freshman, there are growing pains along the way.

Around the Thanksgiving holiday, Wagler hit the skids a little bit, including a 2-of-11 shooting night against the Vaqueros of UTRGV, and a light night against UConn where he finished with just three points with three quick fouls, limiting him to 14 minutes.

Last time out against Tennessee on Saturday, rest did him some good. After more than a week off, Wagler was rested and raring to go, posting 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists with four three-pointers.

He gets first first taste of Big Ten play at Ohio State in the conference opener. While the Buckeyes are hard on the three-pointer, allowing teams to hit just 26.7 percent from distance, the Buckeyes allow 41.8 percent from the field and 69.3 PPG.

CBB PrizePicks Selection: Keaton Wagler, Over 19.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts

Tayton Conerway, G, Indiana

Conerway and the Hoosiers roll into their second Big Ten conference game, and they'll welcome the very giving Penn State Nittany Lions to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington at 8:30 p.m. ET on FS1.

Conerway's production has been a bit erratic, as he went for 18 points in the conference opener against Minnesota, but tailed off for just five points on 2-of-7 shooting at Louisville last time out on Saturday. He tends to get himself into some foul trouble, so that can be a drawback.

If Conerway keeps his nose clean, and stays away from the whistle, he could fill up the stat sheet against Penn State. The Nittany Lions are a poor defensive team, allowing teams to hit 45.1 percent from the field, which is 253rd in the nation, while checking in at just 32.7 percent against the three-pointer.

CBB PrizePicks Selection: Tayton Conerway, Over 11.5 Points

Solo Ball, G, UConn

Ball has been humming along in the past three games, doing the type things we expect of him. Since a 3-of-11 shooting night against Bryant back on Nov. 23, he has hit five or more buckets in each of his last three games, and he has multiple three-pointer makes, too.

He is averaging 15.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals across the past three games since that debacle against the Bulldogs, and he is hitting 40.0 percent or better from distance in the past two games.

The defending champs aren't very giving, allowing just 38.8 percent from the field, and 26.2 percent from behind the arc, but their fast tempo means 72.8 points allowed. And, there is plenty of rebounding available, even for a guard like Ball, as Florida has been one of the worst shooting teams in the nation at 43.2 percent overall, and just 27.4 percent from downtown.

CBB PrizePicks Selection: Solo Ball, Over 19.5 Pts+Rebs+Asts
