Games (EDT)

  • 9:00 a.m: PACT (PCT) vs. Fnatic (FNC)
  • 9:00 a.m: Complexity (coL) vs. c0ntact Gaming (cG)

PACT vs. Fnatic

The first match of cs_summit6's lower bracket is between the Swedes of Fnatic and the Polish side of PACT, with both teams looking to stay alive in the qualification tournament. Fnatic were favorites to qualify through the upper bracket but have been struggling for form and will look to quickly dispatch a plucky PACT side. The head-to-head to watch will be the riflers of Brollan and Goofy, who are both in fine form and provide the main firepower for their teams. The map veto is likely to end up on Nuke, Train or Inferno, maps that both teams are comfortable on, and maps that both teams have played quite recently. Overall, Fnatic should have the firepower to take down PACT, but after an upset-filled Day 1, the Polish side will be in the mood to extend the chaos.

Prediction: 2-1 Fnatic

  • PCT Players to Target: Goofy ($12,600 Captain, $8,400 Flex)
  • FNC Players to Target: Brollan ($12,000 Captain, $8,000 Flex), KRIMZ ($11,700 Captain, $7,800 Flex)

Complexity vs. c0ntact

The second match of the day is the other lower bracket tilt, this time between the recently crowned BLAST Spring champions, Complexity, and the struggling c0ntact Gaming. This match looks to be as one-sided as the first, with Complexity favored over a toothless c0ntact Gaming side in nearly every way. Individual form could be key for Complexity though - blameF and k0nfig have

Individual form could be key for Complexity though - blameF and k0nfig have shown the ability and raw firepower to take Complexity past anyone in the world, but they can be inconsistent. If Complexity want to keep alive in cs_summit6, they will need their stars at their very best, and to maintain that level. c0ntact Gaming have struggled mightily in the last six months since losing their superstar duo of huNter- and nexa, though ottoNd and EspirtanTo have worked to fill that void. With new addition Snappi, c0ntact will be looking to complete the upset and qualify for the main event of cs_summit6, though the firepower of Complexity is likely to prove too much.

Prediction: Complexity 2-0

  • coL Players to Target: blameF ($12,900 Captain, $8,600 Flex), k0nfig ($10,200 Captain, $6,800 Flex)
  • cG Players to Target: ottoNd ($13,800 Captain, $9,200 Flex), Snappi ($6,900 Captain, $4,600 Flex)
