FantasyDraft NFL: NFL Preseason Week 2 DFS Picks

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NFL series.

Preseason NFL DFS is alive and well, and it is a lot of fun to play. FantasyDraft has just released its NFL preseason product and has announced a massive freeroll to go along with it.

On Saturday, the $50,000 FantasyCash freeroll will award the top 2500 spots, with $5,000 going to first place. This is a great way to earn some cash to play for the upcoming NFL DFS season.

Playing preseason DFS is a lot easier than it seems, but it is hard to find the right players in terms of volume. You can't roster usual stars like Aaron Rodgers, Adrian Peterson and Dez Bryant, because most of those players do not play more than a drive, if at all.

Without further ado, here are some picks for preseason NFL DFS on FantasyDraft:

Quarterback

Tim Tebow, PHI - $10,000

Whenever Tebow is on the field, there are people watching. Will he make the Eagles roster? Does he have a chance to play? Who knows, but the best part is that he will be trying to make the team and he'll have every opportunity to do so this preseason.

In the Eagles' first preseason game, Tebow threw for 69 yards and ran for a touchdown. He will look to build on that performance in an effort to win the third-string quarterback job in Philadelphia.

Tebow's ability to score fantasy points on the ground makes him an excellent target in preseason DFS, and the weapons he gets to throw to, even late in games, are full of speed. If Tebow can rush for a touchdown, he's already in the top-tier performers in DFS. Considering he will play the better part of a half, he has a chance to rack up the fantasy points.

Brock Osweiler, DEN - $11,100

Peyton Manning will sit out another preseason game Saturday, giving Osweiler the bulk of the playing time at quarterback. In Denver's first game, he completed 15-of-20 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown.

Osweiler will get a lot of work, as the Broncos will be monitoring the young quarterback closely in an effort to determine the successor to Manning's throne.

He will likely get to play with Cody Latimer, Virgil Green, and the rest of the Broncos backup weapons, but both the aforementioned are excellent mismatches, which could lead to a touchdown pass or two for Osweiler.

Running Back

David Cobb, TEN - $7,500

Cobb is a rookie running back out of Minnesota, and he is trying to earn his chance as a contributor on a young offense run by Marcus Mariota. Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt has said Cobb will get a few chances with the first team, which makes him an attractive option in preseason daily fantasy football.
r> In the Titans' first game, Cobb ran for 53 yards and caught a pass for a one-yard gain. If he can prove valuable in the passing game and on the ground, Cobb will be a top play on FantasyDraft.

Cobb is battling Bishop Sankey for the top job at running back in Tennessee.

Jawon Chisholm, PIT - $6,900

Chisholm is a rookie running back from Akron who was very productive in college, averaging just below five yards per carry in four years. In the Steelers' first two preseason games he has received seven carries in each and 17 touches overall.

Chisholm has not been successful in these carries, but the volume is there and he faces a Packers defense that has allowed over five yards per carry so far this preseason.

All indications are that he will see the same amount of work in the Steelers backfield this weekend, and he will be a very low-owned option as an unknown commodity.

Wide Receiver

Sammie Coates, PIT - $6,400

Coates has six catches already this preseason and has played a lot of snaps. In the Steelers last game he had an opportunity to score a touchdown a few times but was unable to cash in due to a few poorly thrown balls or good cornerback play.

Coates looks the part as a big wide receiver, and he is a favorite target of Landry Jones, so keep an eye on him for your lineups on FantasyDraft.

Duron Carter, IND - $7,400

Carter was a top story during the offseason, as he was one of the top young free agent stories as Cris Carter's son and a talented receiver. In his first game against the Eagles, he was targeted often but could not come up with the ball.r>r> Carter is a talented player, but he will need to battle for a roster spot in a crowded Colts depth chart. Expect the young wide receiver to see plenty of work against the Bears, as some of the Colts' receivers will not play many snaps.

Tight End

Virgil Green, DEN - $6,800

Everyone is looking for Denver's next Julius Thomas. Green has the physical tools to be a good tight end, and he has shown his catching ability this preseason.

Green has caught all five of his targets and accrued 48 yards receiving. The Broncos will likely rest their veteran tight ends, giving Green a chance to play a lot of snaps. He makes for a solid combination with Osweiler, as the two could combine for a touchdown.

Expect to see a lot of Green in the passing game, which makes for a solid play at a scarce position in preseason NFL DFS.
