NFL Playoff Rankings: By-Position Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our NFL Playoff Rankings series.

This list is geared toward playoff leagues with PPR fantasy scoring (4/6, 20/10) and that draft only once before the playoffs and count all scoring through the Super Bowl. So it's a mix of per-game production and the number of projected games for a given team.

For non-PPR rankings, not much changes. You could bump up Derrick Henry or Elijah Mitchell up a spot or two, for example, but it's hard to think of anyone who makes a significant move.

For postseason rankings for the upcoming week, check out Jeff Erickson's Weekly Rankings.

Notes:

Running back is a wasteland. Not only are there timeshares all over the place, but key backs on good teams like Derrick Henry, Cam Akers, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Darrel Williams and Leonard Fournette are coming back from injuries to uncertain workloads. Wide receiver, on the other hand, is deep -- when Deebo Samuel is 11th, it's a loaded field.

The other interesting dynamic is there are no obvious favorites. I leaned Buccaneers, Packers, Bills and Chiefs, but the Titans have the bye, and the Bengals, Rams, Cowboys and even Cardinals and 49ers are dangerous. It's a good year to stack any plausible team. And while the Packers and Titans benefit from the bye, it maxes out their games at three.
