The Week 11 NFL DFS Yahoo main slate begins Sunday at 1 p.m. EST and features 11 games. The Colts and Saints are on bye, while the Thursday Night Football (Jets-Patriots), Madrid game (Commanders-Dolphins), Sunday Night Football (Lions-Eagles) and Monday Night Football (Cowboys-Patriots) participants are excluded from the main slate.
Playing in guaranteed prize pool (GPP) Yahoo DFS football contests is about chasing upside, while lineups geared toward head-to-head, 50/50 or double-up formats should prioritize high floors. The players you want to target for these different contest types aren't mutually exclusive, but winning a GPP tournament usually requires finding a hidden gem or going against the grain in a spot or two while building a solid base of the same chalk plays you would use anywhere. Against-the-grain plays typically consist of big-name players in tough matchups or boom-or-bust types with uncertain roles.
Keep in mind that Yahoo DFS football contests use 0.5 PPR scoring rather than full PPR, which lowers the comparative value of wide receivers and running backs (in that order) while especially affecting high-volume pass-catchers. NFL DFS Yahoo lineups consist of one QB, two RBs, three WRs, one TE, one FLEX (RB/WR/TE) and one D/ST unit. Suggested Yahoo DFS picks for Week 11 include a pricey QB facing a vulnerable secondary, and a pair of RBs rematching divisional opponents against which they found success already this season.
QUARTERBACK
Justin Herbert, LAC at JAC ($41): Herbert should be worth his hefty salary cap hit against the reeling Jaguars defense. He leads the league in both completions and pass attempts, and the Chargers will likely continue to lean on Herbert's arm given the banged-up state of their backfield. Herbert has supplemented his 19:7 TD:INT with solid rushing production for a QB, exceeding 30 rushing yards in six of 10 starts. Meanwhile, the Jaguars have allowed a combined 11 touchdown passes to Matthew Stafford, Geno Smith and Davis Mills over their last three games, plus a Mills rushing TD.
Honorable Mentions: Josh Allen, BUF vs. TB ($42); Jordan Love, GB at NYG ($33); Aaron Rodgers, PIT vs. CIN ($33)
Against the Grainers: Lamar Jackson, BAL at CLE ($42); Baker Mayfield, TB at BUF ($34); J.J. McCarthy, MIN vs. CHI ($31)
RUNNING BACK
Jaylen Warren, PIT vs. CIN ($30): Warren rushed for a season-high 127 yards when these AFC North rivals met in Week 7, and he's poised for another strong performance in this home rematch against a Bengals defense that has been the worst in the league against running backs. Cincinnati has allowed the most rushing yards (1,270) and receiving TDs (four) to the position, as well as the third-most rushing TDs (nine) and fourth-most receiving yards (399) to RBs. Warren's versatile skill set allows him to remain heavily involved whether the Steelers are playing from ahead or behind, which is why he's averaging 17 touches per game.
Woody Marks, HOU at TEN ($22): Marks seems to have taken over as the lead back for the Texans, out-touching Nick Chubb 16-6 in Houston's Week 10 comeback win over the Jaguars. Chubb could still siphon off some touches, but Marks is poised for a significant workload against the 1-8 Titans, who have allowed a league-high 14 total TDs to running backs. Two of those were scored by Marks, as the rookie fourth-round pick turned 21 touches into a career-high 119 scrimmage yards along with those two TDs in his first meeting with the Titans in Week 4.
Honorable Mentions: Josh Jacobs, GB at NYG ($43); Rico Dowdle, CAR at ATL ($32); D'Andre Swift, CHI at MIN ($32)
Against the Grainers: Derrick Henry, BAL at CLE ($31); RJ Harvey, DEN vs. KC ($21); Sean Tucker, TB at BUF ($10)
WIDE RECEIVER
Ladd McConkey, LAC at JAC ($29): McConkey's a strong play whether or not you stack him with Herbert against Jacksonville's struggling secondary. After a slow start to the season, McConkey has reestablished himself as Herbert's favorite target, catching a touchdown pass in four of the past six games while reaching 100 receiving yards twice in that span. Jacksonville's 11 TDs allowed to wide receivers are tied for sixth-most in the NFL, and the Jaguars have allowed an opposing player to exceed 125 receiving yards in three of their last four games.
Khalil Shakir, BUF vs. TB ($23): The Buccaneers excel at slowing down the interior running game, so the Bills are likely to rely on a lot of quick passes to the outside to keep the offense on schedule against a Tampa Bay defense that allows 160 receiving yards per game to WRs. Shakir's skill set would fit such a game plan seamlessly, and he could see an uptick in targets in the expected absence of TE Dalton Kincaid (hamstring), who ranks second on the team in receiving yards. Shakir is the team leader across the board with 45 catches for 457 receiving yards on 58 targets, and the shifty WR is coming off consecutive seven-catch performances. Some Yahoo NFL DFS lineups may stay away from him due to Shakir's limited practice participation this week, but those brave enough to stick with him might reap the rewards.
Christian Watson ($14): Watson's a boom-or-bust option as a drop-prone deep threat, but his ceiling is immense against a weak Giants secondary that has allowed the third-most receiving yards (1,651) and catches (127) to wide receivers. Green Bay's WR room is banged up, and Watson's strong blocking and ability to stretch the field should keep his snap share high even if both Romeo Doubs (chest) and Matthew Golden (shoulder) suit up. Watson's averaging 23.5 yards per catch, so he may need only a few opportunities to make a significant mark in this favorable matchup.
Honorable Mentions: Justin Jefferson, MIN vs. CHI ($31); DK Metcalf, PIT vs, CIN ($24); Jerry Jeudy, CLE vs. BAL ($18)
Against the Grainers: Rashee Rice, KC at DEN ($36); Nico Collins, HOU at TEN ($32); Darius Slayton, NYG vs. GB ($20)
TIGHT END
Kyle Pitts, ATL vs. CAR ($16): Pitts hasn't made the leap to stardom once expected of the 2021 fourth-overall pick, but he's quietly having a bounce-back season. He's on pace for a career-high 85 catches and just under 800 receiving yards, which would easily be his highest total since his standout rookie season. Pitts has been heavily involved with 31 targets over the past four games, and he's well positioned to find success against a Panthers defense that's one of only four units in the NFL that has allowed over 700 yards to TEs. Atlanta's entire offense has nowhere to go but up after being shut out 30-0 at Carolina in Week 3.
Honorable Mentions: Cade Otton, TB at BUF ($14); Colston Loveland, CHI at MIN ($14); Tyler Higbee, LAR vs. SEA ($12)
Against the Grainers: Travis Kelce, KC at DEN ($20); Mark Andrews, BAL at CLE ($17); Jonnu Smith, PIT vs. CIN ($11)
DEFENSE
Green Bay Packers at NYG ($11): The Packers would be worth considering even if they were among the priciest defensive units in Week 11, so this defense profiles as an excellent value at just $1 above the minimum. Rookie QB Jaxson Dart (concussion) had made the Giants' offense respectable in recent weeks but won't suit up here, allowing Green Bay's Micah Parsons-led pass rush to tee off on new Giants starter Jameis Winston. While Winston's capable of generating big plays down the field, his risky approach also tends to lead to plenty of turnovers, as Winston threw 30 interceptions in his last year as a full-time starter back in 2019 with the Buccaneers and was picked off 12 times in seven starts with the Browns in 2024, including eight interceptions in his last three outings.
Honorable Mentions: Houston Texans at TEN ($18); Atlanta Falcons vs. CAR ($14); Baltimore Ravens at CLE ($13)
Against the Grainers: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. CIN ($14); Tennessee Titans vs. HOU ($13); Kansas City Chiefs at DEN ($12)
