Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
For his long-term projection, Egbuka did well to land in Tampa Bay with the 19th overall pick, joining a franchise with a solid quarterback and a strong recent track record of success and production. Egbuka's Year 1 fantasy projection is also on the up and up, with Chris Godwin (ankle) missing all of training camp and Jalen McMillan (neck) expected to miss at least the first month of the regular season. Like his new teammates in Tampa's talented WR room, Egbuka is no burner, having run a 4.45 40 at his pro day after averaging 14.0 yards per catch on a school-record 205 receptions at Ohio State, where he played more than two-thirds of his snaps from the slot. At 6-foot-1, 202, Egbuka won't necessarily be limited to the slot in the NFL, potentially offering inside-out versatility (like Godwin). Reports from training camp had been glowing even before Godwin's prolonged absence and McMillan's injury gave Egbuka a clearer path to the No. 2 WR role in Week 1. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
Career-high 163 yards in win
Egbuka finished with seven receptions on as many targets for 163 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-35 win over Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Egbuka was unconscious in Sunday's thrilling victory, catching every ball thrown his way en route to a new career high in receiving yards (163). The standout rookie continued to step up in the absence of Mike Evans (hamstring), who missed his second game recovering from a Week 3 injury. Egbuka produced his second consecutive game with 100-plus yards and a trip to the end zone, proving that he can adequately fill his superstar teammate's shoes as Tampa Bay's No. 1 wideout. The Ohio State product is also proving that he can produce WR1 numbers for fantasy managers heading into a matchup against the 49ers next Sunday.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Bucs' WR1 for Week 4?
Egbuka could be the Buccaneers' top wideout for their Week 4 clash against the Eagles on Sunday, Sept. 28 if Mike Evans is unable to play due to a hamstring injury, Jenna Laine of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Evans left in the middle of the fourth quarter of Sunday's 29-27 win over the Jets due to a hamstring injury and was not cleared to return. Evans is set to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury, but his absence would open the door for Egbuka to serve as Baker Mayfield's top wideout against the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles in Week 4, though it's possible Chris Godwin is cleared to return from a severe ankle that has kept him out of action since October of 2024. Egbuka led the Bucs with six catches on eight targets for 85 yards during Sunday's win, and the rookie first-rounder has opened the season with a 14-181-3 line on 21 targets through three games.
