Rest-of-Season Projections
2025 Fantasy Outlook
Johnson ultimately could prove to be a seventh-round steal, even if that doesn't happen in his first NFL season while playing on a particularly deep receiving corps. The Oregon product recorded a 169-2,080-20 receiving line over 26 games across the 2023 and 2024 college seasons. While he likely projects as no higher than a No. 6 receiver to open his career, he may make an immediate impact on punt returns and eventually force his way into some complementary snaps on offense. RANKS
Logs eight snaps in opener
Johnson failed to bring in his only target during the Buccaneers' 23-20 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Johnson logged a scant eight snaps from scrimmage despite being listed as the No. 3 receiver on the depth chart to open the season. Sterling Shepard logged 37 snaps and finished tied for second in targets, so Johnson appears to be behind his veteran teammate in the pecking order going into a Week 2 Monday night road matchup against the Texans.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Big role in NFL debut?
Johnson could have a prominent role in the Buccaneers' offense Sunday against the Falcons due to Chris Godwin being ruled out with an ankle injury, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
All eyes will be on fellow rookie Emeka Egbuka on Sunday, but Johnson should have an opportunity to see extended playing time in the Buccaneers' offense in Godwin's absence. The rookie seventh-rounder put together a nice training camp, highlighted by his performance in Tampa Bay's preseason finale against Buffalo, when he caught eight passes on as many targets for 58 yards and one touchdown. Johnson primarily served out of the slot during his college career with Oregon, which gives him the opportunity to slide into Godwin's role against Atlanta in Week 1.
