There are 10 NHL games on the slate Tuesday. Here are my recommendations for your daily fantasy lineup.
GOALIE
Henrik Lundqvist, NYR vs. DET ($7,600): The Rangers have had a less-than-ideal season defensively, but a lot of that has stemmed from issues on the road. At home they have a 2.69 GAA. Meanwhile, the Red Wings have pretty much waved the white flag on this year. They've only scored 2.33 goals per game since the All-Star break.
CENTER
Ryan Johansen, NAS vs. TOR ($5,600): Johansen has picked up a point in each of his last four games, giving him 58 on the season. While the Maple Leafs are a formidable team, their offense has had to cover for their defense recently. Since the All-Star break, they have a 3.30 GAA and have allowed 34.8 shots on net per contest.
Ryan Strome, NYR vs. DET ($4,400): Let's double up on Ryans today! After the Kevin Hayes deal, Strome has moved up to being the second-line center for the Rangers, and he's getting power-play time as well. I noted how poor the Red Wings have been offensively since the All-Star break, but they've been just as bad defensively. In that time, they have a 3.57 GAA, second highest in the NHL.
WING
Kyle Palmieri, NJD vs. WAS ($6,400): Palmieri has been active offensively since returning from injury, as he has 17 shots on net in his last six contests. Overall, he has 27 goals on 213 shots in 69 games. As for the Capitals, the road has not been kind to them. They have a 3.41 GAA in away contests.
David Perron, STL vs. EDM ($5,500): Since returning from a lengthy absence, Perron has a point in each of the two games he has played in. That technically means he has a 15-game point streak going, admittedly surrounding over a month of action missed. Now he takes on an Oilers team that has a 3.32 road GAA.
Roope Hintz, DAL vs. FLA ($4,400): Hintz was recently moved to Dallas' top line, where he plays alongside Tyler Seguin and Alexander Radulov. Perhaps not coincidentally, the rookie has four goals in his last four games. Meanwhile, the Panthers have a 3.69 road GAA, which is bottom five in the NHL.
DEFENSE
John Klingberg, DAL vs. FLA ($6,200): Klingberg has notched 11 points in his last 13 games. That gives him 38 points in 54 contests, including 17 points with the extra man. As I just noted, Florida has a 3.69 GAA in away outings.
Dmitry Orlov, WAS at NJD ($4,300): Orlov has notched a point in each of his last four games, and six points in his last six contests. The Devils, meanwhile, have a 3.36 GAA. That's third highest in the league.
