Monday's three-game slate starts at 3pm ET. Here are some player recommendations…
GOALIE
Colorado Avalanche, COL vs. ANA ($15,500): Don't look now, but the Avalanche have won six games in a row, and they are 15-7-1 at home. Jonathan Bernier has picked up a win in his last five outings, and in those contests he has a 1.33 GAA and a .960 save percentage. The Ducks, meanwhile, have only managed 29.3 shots on net per game.
CENTER
Mathew Barzal, NYI at MON ($11,900): After tallying five points in his last game, Barzal now has 44 points in 44 games. The rookie also has 14 points with the extra man. The Canadiens have a team GAA of 3.05, and Montreal also has the 26th-ranked penalty kill.
Carl Soderberg, COL vs. ANA ($7,000): Soderberg has notched five goals and two assists in his last night games, and he's put 14 shots on net in his last five contests. Though the Ducks have an impressive team GAA, they've also allowed 33.8 shots on net per tilt. Soderberg has averaged 10.07 fantasy points per game this season, and if he can hit that mark at this price he'll be a steal.
WING
Max Pacioretty, MON vs. NYI ($13,000): Pacioretty has a goal in three straight games, and yet he still has a 6.6 shooting percentage. There's still more potential regression toward the mean for the 29-year-old sniper. It wouldn't be the least bit surprising to see Pacioretty extend his goal streak. The Islanders have a league-worst 3.61 team GAA.
Jordan Eberle, NYI at MON ($10,900): Eberle may only have two goals in his last 12 contests, but he has 10 assists in that time as well. Plus, he has 14 shots on net in his last five tilts, and if he can keep that up there could be more goals in his future. On the road, the Habs have a 3.45 team GAA, which ranks in the bottom five of the NHL. That bodes well for Eberle.
Alex Galchenyuk, MON vs. NYI ($10,500): Galchenyuk has started 61.9 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, which is the most on the Canadiens. He's also averaged 2:31 per game on the power play, and he's notched 11 points with the extra man. In addition to having the worst team GAA in the league, the Islanders have the 30th-ranked penalty kill.
DEFENSEMEN
Drew Doughty, LOS vs. SAN ($11,200): The Sharks have had some issues in net recently. In his last 12 outings, Martin Jones has a 3.49 GAA and a .884 save percentage. Meanwhile, Aaron Dell has a 3.62 GAA and a .892 save percentage in his last five games. Doughty has averaged 13.64 fantasy points per game, second most of any healthy defenseman in action Monday, and he has a proven track record of success.
Jeff Petry, MON vs. NYI ($8,800): With Shea Weber out, Petry has taken on a bigger role for the Canadiens. In his last 10 games he's tallied six points and 34 shots on net, and he's also averaged 2:36 per game with the extra man in that time as well. The Islanders have a 3.78 team GAA on the road, and they've given up 34.3 shots on net per contest away from New York as well.
