GOALIE

St. Louis Blues, STL vs. PHI ($16,400): The Flyers had to play in Chicago on Wednesday, and now they have to go to St. Louis. That bodes well for the Blues, who have been strong defensively so far. The Blues have a team GAA of 2.31, and Jake Allen has a .921 save percentage this season.

CENTER

Jack Eichel, BUF at ARI ($13,900): The Sabres are playing the Coyotes, so you had to know Buffalo would be popping up in this article. The Coyotes have a team GAA of 4.31 this season, highest in the league. Eichel managed 24 goals on 249 shots last season despite only playing in 61 games, and he's had at least 21 power-play points in each of his two seasons.

Sean Monahan, CGY vs. PIT ($13,500): The Penguins are on the second night of a back-to-back, and they have been truly horrendous in such situations this year. As in, they have a team GAA of 7.25 with zero days of rest. Monahan has started a team-high 69.5 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, and he already has six goals and four assists through 12 games.

WING

Artemi Panarin, CLM at FLA ($13,200): Panarin has started 64.8 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone (most among Columbus forwards), and he's played 3:14 per game on the power play. He's got 10 points despite only having one goal on 36 shots. That could change against the Panthers. Florida has a team GAA of 3.91 and has allowed a league-high 36.5 shots against on average.

Sebastian Aho, CAR at COL ($10,400): Aho had an excellent under-the-radar rookie season, notching 24 goals and 25 assists. He has five points this year, but that's with him scoring zero goals on 28 shots. The Avalanche had a team GAA of 3.37 last season, highest in the league, so perhaps this is the game where Aho finally lights the lamp.

Max Domi, ARI vs. BUF ($10,200): Playing alongside October's Rookie of the Month Clayton Keller on Arizona's top line is probably benefiting Domi. He has nine points this season, even though he only has one goal on 40 shots. That 2.5 shooting percentage is bound to improve. Buffalo allowed a league-high 34.3 shots on net per game last season, and that number has only dropped to 32.5 this year.

DEFENSEMEN

Jake Muzzin, LOS vs. TOR ($9,300): The Maple Leafs are on the second night of a back-to-back, which could mean Curtis McElhinney is in net. That would bode well for Muzzin, who is off to a hot start. He's notched nine points through 12 games, tallying 33 shots on goal. Additionally, Muzzin has three power-play points, and he's had double-digit points with the extra man in his last three seasons.

Charlie McAvoy, BOS vs. VGK ($9,100) The Golden Knights are down to their fourth-string goalie. That is very unlikely to go well, but it could be great for the Bruins on Thursday. McAvoy has been given a big role as a rookie, and it has paid off. He has eight points (three on the power play) through 10 games.
