GOALIE
Ben Bishop, DAL vs. CHI ($36): Bishop is having a strong season in net, posting a 2.35 GAA and .922 save percentage. On top of that, the Stars are also 11-3-1 at home. Meanwhile, the Blackhawks are 4-12-2 on the road, and they are without Corey Crawford, who suffered a concussion. It seems like Bishop has a great chance of picking up a win.
GOALIE TO AVOID
Andrei Vasilevskiy, TAM at CGY ($32): Vasilevskiy has played well since a lengthy injury absence, but this is going to be a tricky matchup. Both of these teams are red hot, as the Lightning are 9-0-1 in their last 10 games, while the Flames are 8-0-2. Calgary has also scored 3.49 goals per game. This is too close a matchup, featuring two excellent offenses, to bet on Vasilevskiy in this one.
CENTER
Ryan Johansen, NAS at PHI ($19): Johansen has nine points in his last nine games, giving him 30 points on the season. He's also averaged 3:19 per game with the extra man, notching nine power-play points in the process. The Flyers have a 3.69 GAA and the 30th-ranked penalty kill. Sure, they just called up Carter Hart, but he's got only one NHL start to his name, so don't pencil him in as a savior just yet.
CENTER TO AVOID
Ryan Getzlaf, ANA at BOS ($21): Here's a Ryan I'm less high on. Getzlaf is having a good season, better than Johansen even, but this matchup is quite difficult. The Bruins have a 2.59 GAA, second lowest in the NHL, and Jaroslav Halak actually has a 2.27 GAA. Additionally, due to injuries, Getzlaf doesn't have Rickard Rakell or Corey Perry by his side.
WING
Alexander Radulov, DAL vs. CHI ($24): Radulov has notched 26 points in 24 games, including eight on the power play. This comes after he had 23 power-play points last year, his first with the Stars. The Blackhawks have the league's worst penalty kill, which should entice the Russian winger. Chicago isn't exactly good defensively in other scenarios, as they have a 3.75 GAA.
Teuvo Teravainen, CAR vs. DET ($19): Teravainen has tallied 25 points in 32 games, despite an 8.8 shooting percentage. The Finn hasn't had a shooting percentage this low since the 2014-15 season, so he should probably improve on that front. As for the Wings, they've had issues defensively on the road, as they have a 3.63 GAA in away games and have given up 34.8 shots on net per contest.
WINGS TO AVOID
Jakub Voracek, PHI vs. NAS ($19): Voracek is having a pretty good season, as he has 25 points through 32 games. However, he hasn't been the power-play threat he usually is, as he only has four points with the extra man. Though the Predators have the 11th-ranked penalty kill, they've been arguably the best defensive team in the NHL. They have a 2.49 GAA, lowest in the NHL, and have allowed only 28.5 shots on net per game.
Josh Bailey, NYI at VGK ($17): Bailey has 27 points this season, but he only has one goal in his last 16 games. It may be hard for him to pick up the pace in this matchup. The Golden Knights have a 1.93 GAA at home, best in the NHL.
DEFENSE
Seth Jones, CLM vs. NJD ($22): Jones has gotten quite hot recently, as he has 10 points in his last 10 games. He's also put 32 shots on net in that time, giving him 75 shots in 26 contests. Meanwhile, the Devils have a 3.63 GAA, fourth highest in the NHL. In fact, Keith Kinkaid has a 3.74 GAA and .878 save percentage in his last 10 starts.
Alexander Edler, VAN vs. STL ($19): Since returning from injury, Edler has seven points and 24 shots on net through 12 games. He also has six power-play in 22 contests this season. The Blues have a 3.34 GAA, and Jake Allen is currently sporting a .899 save percentage as well.
DEFENSE TO AVOID
Dustin Byfuglien, WPG at SAN ($23): Byfuglien has played well since returning from his own injury, but he's mostly been a power-play performer this season. Fifteen of his 26 points have come with the extra man. That fact won't be helpful in this matchup, as the Sharks have the third-ranked penalty kill.
Duncan Keith, CHI at DAL ($17): Pucks simply won't go in for Keith anymore. Last season, he only managed two goals, and this year he has zero through 34 games. Eventually, the veteran will light the lamp, but this is a tough matchup. The Stars are top five in GAA, and they have the seventh-ranked penalty kill.
