Packers vs Bears Prediction

This one comes down to whether or not Chicago can run the ball on Green Bay. I like their chances. The Bears finished as the league's sixth-best rushing attack in EPA per play. The Packers were the league's 18th-ranked run defense in that same metric. That unit struggled in the back half of the year. Throwing out Week 18, when the Packers rested key starters, Green Bay allowed the sixth-highest rushing success rate in the NFL from Week 9-17. Chicago's offense had the league's fourth-best rushing success rate during that span.

If Chicago is able to consistently generate successful runs, the Packers are in real trouble. Jordan Love has done a good job limiting turnovers, but he's still a gun-slinger at heart. If the Bears are dominating time of possession, I think Love may get antsy and try to force a few throws downfield. That could lead to some explosives. But he'd be playing with fire against a Bears' defense that led the league with 23 interceptions and forced INTs on 4.3% of opponent's passing attempts. That's the highest single-season rate we've seen since the 2021 Patriots. It'll be close, but I think the Bears pave the way on the ground and seal the game with a timely turnover.
