PLAYER RECOMMENDATIONS

GOALKEEPER

Nick Pope, BRN at LIV ($4,000): Pope is a minimum salary keeper starting against the team with the most shots on goal this year. The only thing pulling him off lineups will likely be his high ownership. Differentials include Lukasz Fabianski and Heurelho Gomes.

DEFENDER

Ben Davies, TOT v. SWA ($7,500): Of the more expensive defenders, Davies looks to be in the best spot as Tottenham are the biggest favorites on the slate and Davies has basically taken over the no. 2 playmaking role on the team. Tottenham also have the highest team total and will likely park themselves in the Swansea half all match.

Watford Defense v. Man City
Watford will likely be without four or five of their main defenders for this match due to injuries or suspensions. It's unclear how they will line up, but a centerback would be the first place to look, possibly Christian Kabasele and one of the minimum-priced defenders. In a slate where we have three of the top teams, its likely value will have to be found somewhere else.

Other options include: James Tarkowski, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez and Federico Fernandez.

MIDFIELDER

For the second week in a row we have a decision to make on the high-priced midfield options, with 10 at least $9,000. All have merits worth talking about but there are a few who stand out due to matchup and/or price. Christian Eriksen and Kevin De Bruyne are the highest priced but have each started to find their Premier League form over the last week. If Philippe Coutinho starts for Sadio Mane (suspension) it will be hard to leave him out given his price, though he could be on a minutes restriction. We don't often get to play Riyad Mahrez, but this looks like a potential spot given his team are favorites against a newly promoted side.

Nathaniel Chalobah, WAT vs. MCI ($6,000): If all the teams in this slate played on a neutral pitch this week, Man City would likely be the biggest favorite. Expect Watford to be rolled over here, but not without Man City giving up some defensive stats. Man City gives up an above-average number of blocks, tackles, clearances and interceptions, and Chalobah is a cheaper option with what looks like plenty of opportunities to reach 3x+ value.

Cheaper options include: Xherdan Shaqiri, Demarai Gray and Jonjo Shelvey.

FORWARD

Harry Kane, TOT vs. SWA ($12,000): Kane is in red hot form, scoring multiple goals per match in UCL and last week's Premier League. Swansea are still suspect at the back after giving up the most goals to forwards last year and Kane has a decent gap between his goal scoring odds and everyone else. He is likely to be highly owned, and you could go to the Man City forwards for pivots.

Jay Rodriguez, WBA vs. WHU ($7,500): Let's be clear, this pick is so we can fit in other higher priced plays. However, home against West Ham is a better matchup than first thought, as West Ham have given up the most goals this season and an above-average number of shots on goal. Rodriguez is a solid player for a mid-tier club and has all the ability to take on this West Ham team.

Other options include: Daniel Sturridge, Jamie Vardy and Dwight Gayle.
