Recommended Pickup

C.J. Cron, 1B/DH, Los Angeles Angels – You have to hope that the All-Star break doesn't hurt Cron's bat too much, as he has multi-hit games in five out of the last six games he's played, while going 15-for-24 (.625 AVG) with three home runs and 10 RBI. I know, I know…I did a double-take shake of the head as well. I'm taking a guess that Cron is still available in a lot of leagues out there, and he fits a wonderful short-term fix if you've got a player recently injured. Cron may find more at-bats down the line if he stays reasonably productive, so keep an eye on him at the very least.

Other Recent Recommendations:Andrew Heaney, Nick Castellanos, Gerardo Parra, Jason Motte, Patrick Corbin, Ervin Santana and Miguel Sano.
