The following players averaged the most fantasy points per game last week (two-game minimum):
Fantasy Basketball Power Rankings
#1. Luka Dončić, Lakers
Last Week: 61.8 FP/G Season Rank: 1 (67.9 FP/G)
Dončić made a slightly faster return than expected from his finger injury after missing just three games, and he reverted right back to the elite level of play he'd started the season displaying. Dončić played 39 minutes right out of the gate in his return Friday against the Grizzlies and provided a 44-point, 12-rebound double-double, and he followed it up with his first triple-double of the campaign (29 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists) in a 130-120 win over the Heat on Sunday. Now apparently back to full health, Doncic could be a mainstay in this spot, even when LeBron James (back) finally makes his season debut.

#2. Nikola Jokić, Nuggets

#2. Nikola Jokić, Nuggets
Last Week: 60.2 FP/G Season Rank: 4 (58.7 FP/G)
Not one to be overshadowed, Jokić was right behind Dončić while helping Denver to a 2-1 record during the week. The big man saw his season-opening four-game streak of triple-doubles narrowly come to an end Friday against the Blazers, but he flashed unparalleled efficiency by shooting a blistering 74.3%, including 60.0% from 3-point range, over the three-game sample. Jokić's usage rate is actually sitting at a relatively modest-by-his-standards 22.9% this season as he's taken on more of a facilitator role early (career-high 10.8 assists per game), but his locked-in shot has continued to keep him over 20.0 points per game.

#3. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks
Last Week: 59.2 FP/G Season Rank: 2 (64.3 FP/G)
Giannis remained in the No. 3 spot this week after another stat-sheet-stuffing set of games. Antetokounmpo sat out one game due to a lingering knee issue, but he averaged 31.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals across 32.5 minutes in the two contests he suited up for. The Greek Freak shot a crisp 68.6% in that pair of contests as well, pushing his season-long figure to a career-best 68.4% over five games.

#4. Tyrese Maxey, 76ers
Last Week: 57.7 FP/G Season Rank: 5 (56.6 FP/G)
Given the age and complicated injury history of both Joel Embiid and Paul George, Maxey has clearly assumed the mantle of main cog in the 76ers' attack. The 24-year-old guard is just entering his prime, and he's been indefatigable early this season while averaging a whopping 42.5 minutes per contest over his first six games. Maxey is making excellent use of his time on the floor as well, shooting a career-high 46.4% from 3-point range for the season. He was magnificent while leading Philadelphia to a 3-1 record and three tallies of 129 points or more in Week 2, delivering 33.5 points, 9.8 assists, 5.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals per contest.

#5. Lauri Markkanen, Jazz
Last Week: 52.5 FP/G Season Rank: 10 (47.0 FP/G)
Markkanen is another new entrant into this week's rankings, having earned his spot with averages of 36.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 blocks across 37.8 minutes per contest. Markkanen kickstarted his week with a memorable 51-point, 14-rebound double-double against the Suns on Oct. 27, and he went on to deliver back-to-back 30-point-plus efforts as an encore while draining 51.3% of his attempts in that pair of contests. The Jazz still limped to a 1-3 record for the week, but Markkanen has opened the season in stellar fashion by averaging a career-best 33.0 points on a career-high 22.5 shot attempts per contest.
