Knicks Cruise In Victory Over Hornets
The New York Knicks defeated the Charlotte Hornets, 121-102, at Spectrum Center on Friday.

The Knicks (13-13) moved back to .500 and improved to 7-6 on the road in an easy win over the Hornets (7-19), a team that fell to 4-9 in front of their fans. New York established dominance in the early going and jumped out to a 22-20 lead in the first quarter, but they bolstered their advantage to a 33-29 score in the second quarter. The game was still tight, but a 34-22 score in the third quarter pulled away the Knicks for good. Charlotte didn’t let the guard down and kept trying to fight, but the team’s efforts were unsuccessful. Instead, the Knicks won the final quarter by a 32-31 score, enough to seal the deal with ease.

Julius Randle was the best player for the Knicks and finished with 33 points and seven rebounds, while RJ Barrett ended with a strong performance after posting 26 points, seven rebounds and four dimes. Both Quentin Grimes and Jalen Brunson finished with 11 points, with Grimes recording six boards and Brunson dishing out 11 assists. Mitchell Robinson pulled down 13 boards while adding six rebounds. Isaiah Hartenstein and Immanuel Quickley had 11 points off the bench. Miles McBride scored 10 points.

Terry Rozier was the leading scorer for the Hornets with 24 points, six rebounds and four assists, while Kelly Oubre Jr. posted 22 points. Mason Plumlee delivered 13 points and nine rebounds, while also adding three assists and two steals, and P.J. Washington had 10 points with six rebounds. Bryce McGowens delivered 10 points.
