Celtics Edge Pacers, 105-102, To Complete Series Sweep
The Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers, 105-102, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Monday night in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference Finals series. The Celtics have won the series, 4-0.

The Celtics (12-2 postseason) came in expecting a fight from the desperate Pacers (8-9 postseason) despite the ongoing absence of Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring), and they unsurprisingly held just a one-point lead at halftime. However, Indiana erased that slim deficit and took a three-point advantage into the final period, and they were up by as much as eight with just under six minutes to go. Nevertheless, as had happened repeatedly during the series, Boston mounted a late-game comeback fueled by defense, holding the hosts to just four more points the rest of the way, including none over the final 3:33.

Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 29 points, adding six rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block. Jayson Tatum generated a 26-point, 13-rebound double-double that included eight assists and one steal. Jrue Holiday supplied 17 points, nine boards and two assists. Derrick White furnished 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, five steals and three blocks.

Andrew Nembhard paced the Pacers with 24 points, supplementing them with 10 assists, six rebounds, one steal and one block. Pascal Siakam generated a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double that included three assists. T.J. McConnell registered 15 points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal. Aaron Nesmith registered 14 points, six boards, one assist and one steal. Obi Toppin tallied 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one steal.

The Celtics now await the winner of the Timberwolves-Mavericks series, which plays its Game 4 on Tuesday night at American Airlines Center.
